I know, I know, but......

Any chance of them being made for the 'other' Bathurst.

You know, the not real Bathurst....

Would love to see an 18th scale Volvo.

I too have all of the 1:18's I can get, and a few of the 1:43, but I would love one or two more 18th's. The audi's and the serria's are great, Would love some of the Australian BM's and Volvo's

So not every Aussie hated those 2 litre cars! What we heard on this side of the globe was that our "poofter" cars were as welcome at Bathurst as leprosy. They weren't that bad looking, but I guess a little 4 cylinder isn't quite the same as a stonking great V8!

I think where ever you live in the world you relate better to racing cars that have some relationship to cars on the road. With the market for Audi A4's, Volvo S40, Alfa 155's, Mondeo's and Vectra's being fairly limited over here the series was always going to struggle.

I think in Australia they also made a strategic mistake trying to go 'head to head' with the V8's instead of working with them and having the 2 litres for support races or as a means to bring through young drivers (like the Konica series).

In the UK, the action and diversity if BTCC in the id 90's was awesome but like so many successful series it seems the costs got out of control, the manufacturers lost interest and the series in the last two - three years really seems to have lost its way.
