Got my T155 today. Great model, absolutely no complaints what so ever. It now takes pride of place in the display cabinet.
Can't wait to buy the VicPol SMART car, a more sportier type model will go well in a diarama pulling over the black HSV GTS I bought last year.
I saw that Admin stated that Biante are looking at police cars in the long term. This is fantastic news. My station here in Bathurst has just received the new VY SS for the highway patrol. Admin if you want pictures of these cars, just let me know I will gladly take them and send them on. What a great cop car to have, a Bathurst Highway car in 1/18 scale.
Admin stated that Biante will also look at some of the more older police cars. Looking at what diecast Biante have already you can't go past the VL Turbo, Charger and the VR SS. Three great cars used by various police departments throughout Australia.
Keep up the great work Biante.

Sorry, for some reason the attachment's not working.
Admin, any reason for this. The file is a gif. It is 85k in size, well below your max 102k.
Any thoughts

Nice looking model. Would like to see that one also considered for a production run from Biante.
Admin, I hope you got the news about NSW Police Marketing. The rest of us here at Bathurst are keen to see our car done.
In relation to the older cars, like Texans. The markings will make the car. Older cars like the XU1 and Cooper S did not have markings when used in NSW, don't know about other states.
I'm still hoping a VL turbo is considered. Awesome car.

Great start to the XC police model.
Needs twelve slot wheels with flat black wheel nut centre piece, NSW HWP used GS / Sports pack XC's.

I couldn't remember what wheels they used. Did they use 12 slotters? I thought they would've just used the stocker steel rims.
If they did, I'll have to buy an XA and pinch the wheels off it.

Texan,
Why not simply swap the wheels from the XC to the XA and vice versa.
XA gets a nice set of GLOBE wheels and the HWP car gets the 12 slotters.
Looking forward to seeing the finished product, are you going to fabricate the roof bar yourself ?

Biante 2224,
Yes, the roof rack, Police sign and sirens should be relatively easy, but because I want to have a blue plastic light as opposed to a painted one, I think it's going to take a while before I can source the right one.

Texan,
The old Ford cop cars XA, XB & XC had the standard steel rims with the chrome hub cap covering the axle stub and wheel nuts. I can't remenber whether the rims were painted white or not. Maybe someone else remembers?

After posting about the T155 coming out on the LS1 forums (www.ls1.com.au) we actually found the guy that owns the actual T155 ex-cop car in Perth!
I found that a bit quirky, but atleast now he can buy an actual model of his own car in real Police trim!!!

it would be sweet if biante could buy that car off of the guy and get permission to re-paint it in the paint scheme again (if its not going to be driven) then add it to the biante museum :)
