The close off date for the purchase of the Adelaide club dinner tickets is Tuesday at 9am. There are still a few tickets available as due to the great response we have moved the dinner to a larger room. A few drivers will be attending as well as several other entertainment items throughout the night (along with a great meal).

If you are in Adelaide the Thursday before the Clipsal 500 then why not come along and say hello. Tickets are available to all club members who have bonus points in their account. Only a small amount of tickets are available so be quick to secure a spot for yourself (and a guest if you wish).

Item number BDCCDINNER.

Richard, will you be able to name any or all of the drivers when they are confirmed?
It would be a good autograph/photo opportunity.
Cheers.

What's the dress code?
Where will it be held?
What time will it be held?
And will Biantes boy Tony R be there?
Hopefully it won't be too far to get to from the track to get to(for people going on Thursday).

You can only attend the dinner if you hold a ticket and the close off time for tickets is 9am WST Tuesday 4th March. Further applications cannot be accepted after this time.

We cannot do door sales, as it is a catered sit down meal. Tickets are max. of one member and one guest.

Cost is $38.50 per person, with a cash bar operating for drinks.

We will have at least 4 drivers appearing, plus some other motoring personalities. We cannot confirm who they will be, as if there car is not running right on the day, they will be with their engineer sorting problems.

The event will be run at 6.45pm sharp at a venue in central Adelaide. The venue is given with the ticket.

So if you are available at this time and would like to join us, please complete the ticket application by Tuesday morning.

It is a public holiday here on Monday, so there will be no-one at the office until Tuesday.

what are the odds of having something like this for wanneroo as it looks like most (or a large part) of the members are from perth. somewhere in central perth would be good as most people would have to drive to wanneroo anyway.

SA, NSW, WA, Vic, NT, Qld, NZ...To make it fair, that's 7 functions (one for each state that hosts a round). Don't know if B&T&R etc attend all rounds, or even if they have time available. At present they host events at 2 of the big races.

Admin, Bev, Richard,
What are the realistic chances of having one function in each state?

Regards
Leigh

Well, if you're going to meet in all your states/territories, you HAVE to "swing by" the U.S.

Let's see ... Zorak is in Oregon, I'm in Ohio... who else do we have? Let's meet in Nebraska!

Our Annual dinner went off very well last Thursday. Other threads have mentioned the guests.

We had

Jason Bright
Rick Kelly
John Goss
Kim Jones
Tony Ricciardello
Peter Brock
Mark Barber from Historics

Stonie the cartoonist was unable to attend.

And yes, SWRT and his father, our only members from NSW seemed to leave with many of the goodies, winning the quiz and several of the lucky draws. Hope they had were driving home or they could have looked a site down on the airport after the race weekend!!!!!!!!!

Members from WA, Vic, SA and New Zealand attended. As Greg Murphy was unable to come to the dinner, he held a private audience with our kiwi visitors in the Kmart garage on Friday after a tour of the garage with Fred the Kmart PR man.

The venue was excellent, as was the PA SYSTEM, and the food, even if it was not the menu selected, was excellent and superbly presented.

This is the club ANNUAL dinner, so we cannot hold these at every race meeting for a season. We do not attend that many meetings other than our home meeting at Barbagello, which is a very busy time for us with the teams that we sponsor all paying visits to the office. It also takes around 3 months to put the dinner together - so 13 rounds x 3 months = more than 1 year...

Bathurst is an impossibility to book out a restaurant during the 1000 w/e, so informal gatherings will continue to happen there.

We are thinking of doing the odd special function in another city, so please stay tuned. As for other countries, if any of us are passing through, we will let you know and we can catch up, as we do in Tassie with Targa. The rest of our interstate trips are at very short notice and mostly for less than 24 hours.

Right now we are processing the off-line membership renewals and hope to have the packs away by Friday.

:) :)
