Who saw this car on the HSV website? Looks pretty good, a modern one tonner. I would like to see a 1:18 model of this. Hint Hint Admin!!!! Along with other concept vehicles from Holden, and Ford for all the Ford fans.

its beautiful. the standard holden one looks nice aswell. i also saw the new rodeo today and its huge. (well compared to the old one) i think holden are onto a good thing with this one. it may even come close to the hilux given a few years.

Saw both the Maloo cab chassis & the SS pannel van at the motorshow today.
I had to look twice at the Maloo as it looked a bit like a show car rather than an actual production model, with regards to the back of the tray & the tail lights arrangement. If they do release it (I could find out if it was a real model or just a show car) I don't think they will be able to build enought of they as it looked awesome !!!! (Ford will have some serious competition in the 1 tonne department)
With the SS pannel van I was a little bit disapointed, because the rear window from the ute is still there, so it is basically an expensive cannopy on a top of a SS ute (aprox $46k rrp when it is released in June/July03).
It looked very good as well, but I think the window between the cabin & the tray needs to go before it can truely be called a real pannel van.
Unfortunally I didn't take the camera with me so I haven't got any pics, but if your in Melbourne the motorshow is certaintly worth the visit.
cheers.

"While the potential for a production version is yet to be determined, should the Maloo Cab Chassis get the ‘go ahead’ it’s estimated that pricing will be in the vicinity of the equivalent Maloo R8 utility model.
HSV advise that interested buyers should direct their expressions of interest to HSV Retailers." from www.hsv.com.au
i hope it goes into production
also whats this about an SS panelvan? is it like the sandman concept (minus the paint) i cant find anything on it.

Yes chups,
The pannel van, was basically the sandman minus the big, bright paintwork !!!
The interia was standard VY SS ute, so no suprises there.
cheers.
