At home on the Teev, but I'll be more watching it for the local V8's.Hope it doesn't turn into a farce like the Indycar "race" last year, it is in Melbourne, after all. Fair dinkum, there I was, yelling at the screen:"get those open-wheeler heaps off the track & let the real cars race, they don't mind a bit of water!"

I sat in the rain until the chequred flag at Indy last year. I defy any race car to run in those conditions. I have never seen that much rain come down for so long.

Hopefully Melbourne can turn on the nice weather.

Steve; cars that are specialy build for one purpose are called racecars and open wheelers are just that.
we all have our preferences and I leave it at that:)

FF, I agree with you 100%, that's exactly why I prefer Touring Cars, they have more relevance to the man on the street. I simply make the point that the TinTops RACED in the (not as bad) rain earlier, & the ONE time the purpose-built racecars tried it, they self-destructed.
I DO like F1 for the sheer speed they produce, it's just that I like TinTops better. Oh, & I'm a softop freak, too!
