Hi Guys,
Just a bit off topic, but while looking for the Moffat ANZ Sierra, stummbles across a site that has downloadable cars for Need for Speed 3 and 4, and has most of the aussie muscle cars that we have been collecting. Check it out at http://aussiemuscle.totalnfs.net/amnfs/racing.html

I've got the first one with Australian vehciles (EL Falcon GT & VT GTS) & found it to have quite a lot of technical problems with the hardware that was current at the time. I had just had one of my many pc upgrades & it wasn't compatable with my graphics card.
Once I got some patches it fixed the problem, but the tracks were pretty unrealistic as you could bounce off walls, other cars etc, & it didn't slow you down.
Getting air bourne at 250 kph & have up to 5 sec of hang time & land & being able to continue at speed, for example.
The new version I do not own & I have only tried it out on my last visit to Dick Smiths, driving a 911, which seemed to be more relistic than the last version. I will get it once I upgrade my hard disc as I've run out of free memory & this game require around 1.2G !!!
I still don't think they have been able to beat the 1st Need for Speed game which I believe it to be the most realistic of all of them. An oldie, but a goodie !!!:D
cheers.

i actually used to make quite a few cars for nfs 3 mainly pointless ones like combo, sandman (new one), astra, rodeo, pursuit rodeo, hurricane, FB/EK, aussie invader III, and others. i actually did the base model for his sony explod wagon (made from my senator estate) unfortionately these are on my old computer which my sister is borrowing. i might go round and hook up the cd burner and get them back one day.

I have NFS 3 & gee, but when I hit walls & other cars it slows me down or spins me out! I like "driving" the Falc. & the Commode but my personal fav. (FF will like this) is the little convertible Ferrari.
Need for speed 2:High stakes on PS2 has a unusual Tickford TS50 on it.
The NFS version of the Tickford TS50 has a colour scheme that looks like HRT's 2001 colour scheme.

I pickup the NFS Hot persuit 2 yesterday on ps2 & while its a lot of fun, it isn't very realistic.
I had the M5 almost 90 degres sideways & still managed to recover the car. As for staying on the track, you can go just as fast on the grass, dirt, sand, as you can on the actual road !!!
I enjoy racing around the streets, weaving between cars & road raging the slow trucks & small cars - at least this way I can't get into trouble !!!!
It not a bad game but I don't think I'll still be playing it in a months time as I think I would have finished it by then & have grown tired of it.
Certaintly worth the $69.95 I paid.
cheers.:D

Well for those of us with XBOX, it is only a few weeks untill V8supercars is released. From all accounts it is much better graphics, sound, game speed wise with extra tracks etc over the PS2 version and full 5.1 sound. Have to wonder how it will all sound with the sub woofer in place.
I got Colin McCrae last week and still yet to play it.

They tell me that the x-box also has bigger field for each of their races than the ps2 version too.
I tried a demo for the pc & it looks awesome, the only problem was that i need to spend nearly $1k in upgrades so that I can run it when it arrives !!!
enjoy.:D

Yeah brad a 1k upgrade on a PC, when you can buy and XBOX for what $399.
I have 6 games on the XBOX now and I am very happy with it. I went looking at PS2 and the first 3 shops I went to they were sold out. I went to a games shop and they talked me into XBOX and I have never looked back. They are really starting to get a good selection of games as well now.
I wonder how the World of Outlaws game is on PS2. That looked pretty damn good and hope it comes out on XBOX.

Mustang thats the exact reason why I got the ps2 18 months ago !!!
The only disapointing bit is that you can race against bigger fields as you can with the old pc.
cheers:D
