FORD (AUSTRALIAN) XY FALCON GT 1970
Biante Classics [A72221]
'TRUE BLUE'
Production Planned
Is this true I thought the QuickSilver XYGTHO was the last one for 1:18 scale???
Not that I am complaining, does this mean we can put in requests for other 1:18 XY GT colurs?
Ok Bronze Wine with saddle interior and of course Onyx Black with white interior with an orange stripe.
Can someone confirm the above

Last HO but not last GT.....We have all the GTs to come, in whichever colours Biante choose to release.

Oh ok, good news.
Do you know how the GT will look different from the HO?
Minus the front and rear spoiler? Different wheels????
Again I put fourth the wanted colour list
1 Bronze Wine
2 Onyx Black
Thanks

Ok, call me stupid, call me what you will, but essentially what will be the differences between the GT-HO and the GT XY Falcon in 1:18 scale? Basically, what visible exterior changes will appear?

I don't think it's a stupid question, but, of course, I asked the same thing!
Check out this link (http://turing.ibc.com.au/bianteforums/showthread. php?s=&threadid=1478) . Particularly mustang1966's comments to my exact question.
Some modicum of fiscal sense says that I should only get one colour of various models. If the only non-colour differences are a few spoilers, I might pass.

Go to the main site and under "Find a Model" type in XY and you can see the new True BLue XY.
What is the diff between the XY GT and GTHOs of the past that were released?
Looks like the front and rear spoilers, which is correct as to how the XY GTs came out, every man and his dog seems to add the spoilers to their GTs these days. Were they an option when you ordered a GT? Or where they only avaialble on the HOs?
Anyways, check out the Yellow Fire XA Hadtop too, another pic there
Any news on the release date of the XB GTs? I need a XB Coupe Yellow in colour in time for a birthday present for someone who owned such a vehicle who sadly does no more.

Gumby,
I would like a XB GT Coupe in Red as I owned one for my youth.
Sold it in 1978 to buy the family car.... 1978 Toyota Corona CS wagon... Just a little difference in cars.. :)

Front and rear spoilers were an option on the XY GT. The GTHO came with them standard. The 36 Gal tank was also an option on the GT.

Another difference is that the Tru Blu pictured has '12 slot' wheels, rahter than the 5-spoke Globes. Being an early XY (1970) means the globes probably weren't available in any case.
I'm not sure if they were an option on later XY GT's, but I'm pretty sure the globes were standard on the HO. Any GT guru's care to comment?

ET,
I always throught the XW GTHO and XW GT with the 351 Windsor came with 12 slot wheels. The Phase 2 & 3 + GT's (Cleveland powered) then came with 5 slot wheels. Have a look at the Wild Voilet XY GTHO Phase 3 and you will see the 5 slot rims (Bloody ugly I think)
The Phase 3 were given the Globe wheels after the Phase 4 was given the flick. They were suposed to give away 200 sets? so they could homlegate the wheels on the Phase 3 for Bathurst.

The photo of the prototype does not have the front and rear spoilers and has the correct 5 slot rims.
Looks damn nice to me.

Admin spoke about this topic about 6-8 weeks ago, so if anyone wants to go back & have a look you'll find the answers to all of the questions which have been asked so far. I know because I asked them & admin gave me the answer.
I will go back & try to find that post & I'll put a link if I can find it again.
