Hi Guys and Gals

YES we are racing, tell us what you think, I love it!

Glad to be "working from home" this arvo. Shame about Skaife - not, guess he is human.

Now will have to learn whos who.

Cheers

Just watched the 1st race - (jeez it's a good to have a tv @work and not be busy on a Friday :) )

A bit of drama... and go Brighty!!! Ingall had a fast race with some controversey although it didn't look that bad - he just tried to squeeze into a hole where he didn't fit.

Can't wait to watch the other 2 races on Sat and Sun and bring on the 1st round!!!

We don't have TV covergae at work so I had to get the update and results off the net.

Good start for Bright - still in a VX too.

Ingall might be a threat this year based on test sessions and the last 2 days at the GP.

Should be a good race tomorrow with Skaife started near the back. We'll might see how quick ( or not ) he is.

Great to see THE RAT off to a good start!!
What a great race, Ingall also stirred the pot a bit. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Waht a start,
2 HRO(ex TWR aus) cars smashing into each other on turn 1 and Skaife loosing it into a sandtrap.
Hope it happens A LOT MORE.
Skaife did make some nasty remarks on the story before the race about Loyalty to Holden and Ingall.
Russell spun a HRT car but it was the wrong one.
Skaife also made some bad remarks towards Tony Longhurst during last years Wednesday autograph session when the 2001 winners plauge was unveiled-"too bad Tonys driving the wrong car his weekend".

Go Brock Go!:D

The comentary of Neil Crompton is up to the usual very high standard ,Cannot say that of the other person at all!
His biggest mistake, that showes he knows not a lot, is about HONDA being a newcomer in Formula 1 ,Honda has been there since 1960 ish and powered a great many drivers to racevictories
Mr Alan Jones ,where are you, together with Neil

Go Brock Go! Ohh what a feeling, two starts two wins!
and FERRARI Looking sensational ,with the OLD car! bring on the new one.

Hi FordFan5, check out this for results:

Thanks for mentioning the Rat Damian - I almost cried! Had he not got into that mess I'm sure he would have been in the top 4/5

What's Brocks involvement with team Brock, wan't this taken over by TWR before all the mess of recent weeks?

Cheers

Skaife talking about loyalty- I can remember when Skaife drove a Nissan.
Skaife also said something about Russell having no fans, he wants to have a good look at himself in the mirror as Russell put it.
And of course it is always someone elses fault that one of the HRT cars was taken out in the first corner. Thats motor racing.
Stick it to them Russell.

I just finished watching my video of the race (I really had to be at work today, otherwise I would have been at the track & only saw 1/2 the action - sometimes tv has it advantages !!!)

Race 2 sure looks like another big race !!!

I just wonder who will blame Russell for something next ???

Perhaps the UN can blame Russell for sadam & his wepons of mass destruction !!!:D

I thought the trun insident look a lot like the Murphy / Bargs crash at the island, just another racing insident where 2 does not go into 1.

I'm sure the Holden people may have seen it differently.

The wait is finally over & I can't get enought of the V8's !!!

cheers.

WHOA fordy there.... SWRT.. c'mon... get yer facts straight here huh...
Waht a start,
2 HRO(ex TWR aus) cars smashing into each other on turn 1

yes.. 2 HRO cars smash into each other on the first turn... BUT.. you fail to mention that it was Ingall turning Kelly around on turn 1 that CAUSED that little bingle ... you also forgot to mention the Team Betta car of the Rat that crunched in also...

oh.. brchi..the UN already looked in Russell's boot for the hidden weapons from Iraq and decided they must be on those ships... :D

SWRT

I know the reat was also in the crash but I forgot to meantion it.
1 HRT and 2 Betta Electrical car(Holden and Ford).
Mark Noske and David Thexton are missing this weekend but will be at Adelaide.
Also telecast times for Saturday and Sunday are
10am-5pm both days EST on ten.

They havent found any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq yet, have they?
Maybe it is linked more than we know. The 'enforcer' was dangerous a few years back, pushing his weight around. After being beaten he kept quiet for a while, but appears to be back upsetting the superpowers......

WOW another excellent day of racing, looks like the enforcer may be a 'force' to reckon with this year, about time someone gave it to HRT. My god I'm sounding like a Ford supporter more every day.

Chups - I'm not sure about V8 times, Ten have been a bit cagey about times for anything all weekend. Sorry mate.

Try telling that to a Mr R.Ingall !!!!!

Being a life long Ford fan, why not make the AGP part of the championships. At least for once we'd be able to cash in of Russell fantastic inforcing !!!!

It been so good to see a Ford win, god know how long its' been between wins & I just hope Russell gets a blinder of a start today & creams the field. Maybe Bargs, Bowe, Jr & Lowndes can join the part by catching up to Russell & make it a dream start with a Ford 1,2,3.

cheers.:D

Oh that was soooo gooood even the F1 was worth watching, good to see no Red on the podium (sorry FF - needed a bit of a break from the all conquering RED of 2002)

That was one of the first "non" event races I have seen for the V8's, another big shunt for Morris, good to see he was ok. Was a bit disappointed in the Kiwis overall, although I think Murph had a bit to say to Richards!

Now down to the real V8 stuff in a couple of weeks, few bent cars to be fixed first!

V8 supercar site has some great pics up already:

Yes Chups ; It was not broadcast here in the west.
The show started at 8 am and there was no V8's at all.
Where ohh where are the AUSSIE V8 drivers for interviews
Only one was this Nasty driver from the Land of the looong white clouds ,that thinks that he can rampage whenever he wants but he himself is untouchable!
I rather put up with Clownes & Shafe:D then this crimmo

Oh Five
09-03-2003, 06:25 PM
Thank you russell ingall for proving that it takes a holden driver to win in a ford:p :p
I reckon this is going to be a good year, the cars look good, driver/team changes, new points system(which still isnt right).
Roll on Adelaide.

i was goin over some stats and if my adding is right, if skafe wins this season i think he will hold the record of the most australian touring car championships. (currently 5 by skaife, Geoghegan, and D. Johnson. if this season goes to plan for HRT, it could be another record broken by mr skaife.

Malik
09-03-2003, 10:57 PM
hey Oh Five... wasnt Lowndes sposed to prove that it was the AU it was the driver a couple of years ago when he went to Gibson in the Ford?

Im sure I read somewhere that everyone thought Lowndes was just gonna continue winning everything regardless of his car cause it wasnt the car that was the problem and just needed a decent driver in it... hehehe

Two wins for FORD in the one weekend? I can feel a parity adjustment coming on.

Don't get too excited.

The Fords do look better this year, but don't get ahead of yourself.

The real stuff starts soon.

What the GP event did show us was that it should be a good year of close, competitive racing.

Didn't Marcos Ambrose do that last year 5 times?

Malik

Ambrose was driving a well sorted VY last year? dang.. he hid it well under the AU skin....
