What a crazy last lap!!! What the Tander! so disapointed - Davison was set for a top 10 finish! What about frosty and webb!!
Congrats courtney and DJR! The soft tyre is awesome and provides great racing that isnt artifical.

Great racing (obviously I'm biased) How about the back end of the top 10? there was some awesome racing right till the last lap. bring on tomorrow.

seems Courtney has proven that on soft tyres he can set up a car and race with success, good to see but he still has to master it with the controll tyre.
Tander:confused:what the### was he thinking interesting de-brief tonight i would suspect.
I like winton always provides good close racing.:)

The racing was AWESOME - pity the TV coverage was as low quality as it was.... would have made awwsome viewing for probably what will turn out to be the best race meeting of the year. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED CH. 7 and V8Supercars TV... THE WORST TV COVERAGE I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME!!!:mad:
Does any one that was at the circuit have any photos they could share?? The HRT and T8 cars looked great on-track on the box.......

Loved todays race, a lot of action. Real nervous when it came to that turn 1 overtaking between courtney and whincup, and again when there was around 7 laps to go and lowndes was gaining average 1 second a lap!
Heaps of other great racing throughout the field as well, the sprint tire provides a great race IMO

I guess Tander will not let Davison finish any race ahead of him this year. Very poor driving there.

great race well done jc only a couple of points in it now . and tander what can i say the blokes a tool i have never been a great fan of his he cant pass anyone without hitting them and iam not just talking about today
During the telecast, it appeared that Tander divebombed Davison and punted him off the road.
Davison finished 20 something and Tander (whatever)
Will Tander be issued a penalty?

The soft tyres races has contributed to some great racing.
But remember, the normal Dunlop tyre will be back soon.....

The sprint tyre should be the normal tyre(exept bathurst) because it has proven to be way more durable than they expected. They pit for tyres with the control tyre anyway and the racing has been a lot better

+1, racing has sooooo much more passing.
Give us a little more grip with a little more durability(than the softs) and take away half of the aero and we would have a great series( keep the look though)

Tanders move was stupid but it's not like Davisons anywhere near the top of the championship anyway. So he really only stuffed up himself.
HRT should have put Garth much further ahead in the first place if it weren't for that stupid pit stop.

Tony,
It personally doesn't worry me if I know the result.....seeing as I won't get to watch the race itself...(so it's not ruining it for me)....I'm just suggesting that Gobbo to put a spoiler warning, so that people know not to look further, considering this isn't necessarilly a results thread....

Very happy for JC.He seems to get a lot of garbage thrown his way on various forums, most of it unwarranted imho.
As for Simon McNamara, u are a grade A clown mate,u've actually made this Holden boy start cheering for the blue boys u goose..:p
I see Jono Webb looks the natural successor to Steven Richards in regards to not knowing where the brake pedal is..
Lot of people bagging HRT (and I'm quite ok with that) but the real disappointment this year (apart from Murph, don't get me started on that one) has to be the Walkinshaw Bundy Team or whatever they're called.
Whatever happened to the good old days of 2 great teams in the TWR stable? This mob are absolute rubbish,Coulthard has forgotten how to drive and I swear I could drive better than Thompson,I really do.
Mr McNamara, have u ever heard of quality over quantity? No? Well u have now moron!

How can Coulthard forget in one year. I was speaking to him at Qld raceway and he was not to happy about going to holden because they are so much diff to his old Ford. He has to change a lot in his driving style to get the best from the car.

Too right, JC cops a (verbal) pounding and it looks like he is showing all his nay sayers what he can do. A very mature drive, especially near the end after the touch with CL and readdressing the situation.
Just to clear things up Tony, Whincup punctured a tyre after a touch with dumbrell and started heading off the track, thats when Webby hit him(and Ingall into Webb as a result). The damage was already done, Whinners said as much himself.

Big congrats to JC and the DJR boys back to back rounds and championship lead i agree good to see someone other than Whincup winning for a change just wish it was my team lol:p To be honest there are 2 people with egg on their faces really yes mcnamara over his holden domination comment but Ford's management over its sponsorship yes they are now giving DJR some SOME money but the 2 factory backed teams still arent producing the goods as far as im concerned. Not taking any credit away from DJR but they are still using Triple 8 gear as far as i know  So good to see the so called forgotten team of ford giving it to them
Yes the 14 year statement about DJR was a shock to me to man making me feel old lol. After seeing some of the statments on facebook that John Webb took Whincup out to help courtney with points im laffing my head off. I could be wrong but the footage i saw it looked like whincups tyre blew causing him to slow and go straight into kitty litter and in turn webb braked to avoid him with ingall running into webb and i didnt see any contact on whincup at all to make him spear off in a straight line but like i said im getting old so maybe my eyes are playing up on me:p
And in a light hearted dig good to see GT and Will leaving each other alone today and finish the race this time

OK, he said the sun was in his eyes yesterday (which is apparently a nightmare on turn 3) Probably a bit of inexperience on his part. it was a shame as he was doing pretty well and taking out one of the other few fords in the field was annoying.

I totally agree. I'm a Holden man but its great seeing DJR being successful, HRT, 888 and FPR seem like faceless organisations sometimes, DJR still retains the character that embodies the sport.
I fear 888 domination will return now that sprint tyres are done. Give them sprint tyres for every "sprint" round pronto!

Great photos rr72. some of them are of professional standard!
We all know HRT have struggled every time they've changed their livery at bathurst - even if its just changing the bonnet (Bathurst 06 etc).... wonder if their bad season is due to the new red rooster bonnet? maybe you should have a word to them Pete ;) (please!).

Totally agree with that. Has to be the strangest move made in the off season.

Yes, it's amazing what happens at permanent racing circuits & other taxpayers can use the facility for the rest of the year.

I joined HRT as a member when i found out that Bundy Red was going to be a sponsor and found Dave Reynolds to be a great guy and i can honestly say that at the end of this year ( even with Fabian being one of the drivers ) that i will not be joining again as Thompson just doesn't cut it as a main game driver - Bring Back Reynolds !!!

Thanks Cam, yeah I was rapped with the Lowndes shot, as Wayne always say's, you have to try things, some work some don't.
I just had a look through my photos, I feel the face of the Falcon is the same, as I had the sun hitting the side of the car & had ajusted my camera settings down to try not get much colour change, but feel it is dark & the TV makes it look lighter, as you can see.

Yeah, it is always good to try something new even though I know myself I try to stick to something safe... But it's all digital now so who cares, it's just the time to go through them all because you just snap snap snap away...
It certainly is a nice angle though, I love it. Good to see something different. I like the rear end shots too, something you don't see much of and is good when you get the heat haze.

Yep Click click click, thats True, but I'm now clicking less n less.
Thanks Cam, as was trying for a bit of haze, but sometimes the car in front that has just gone out of shot leaves a haze for the car behind that you take a photo of, turns out a little blurry due to it, but learning as I go.
