Sometimes when I see auctions like this I feel like emailing the seller just to call him/her a w**ker!!! They're only wasting they're own money. I wonder what the reserve is!!!

This can only be the 1/18 Autoart Employees model.. I wonder what planet this seller is on,, or what substance they are on,,
But,, some poor sucker will probably come along,, especially with the way it's description is written up..
Very Interesting..

Somebody must have mailed the seller as it has now changed to 1/18th. I bought one of these two weeks ago for $205.00 looks like my investment was justified.

Here's my investment for the week:
Moffat 65E $140 MIB
Purple XY $120 MIB
White XY $120 MIB
Green Torana Free, No box.
There out there if you look around and wait.
As for this guy selling that car for $1000........ Tell him he's dreaming. I was talking to a bloke at Holden when they first got there model and people were swaping them for a case of beer, bargain.

Alas, not in the States! But even in OZ, how do you find such bargains? Given the popularity of these cars, I figured anyone who purchased them would have some idea of their value. I realize one might fall on hard times, but I would think a model shop would buy them for a better price than those you quoted.
Do you simply stumble across these in out-of-the way second-hand stores or garage sales? Do you guys have garage sales? Obviously, the answer doesn't do me any good, but I am curious.

I only dream of finding such models for such prices

I won a cheep car on an auction (sold I think) and when I was emailing him I asked if he had another cars for sale and he had them. He said he didn't want them anymore,as he had started another collection. He did know what they were worth but he said that he didn't buy them to make money, just as long as they went to a good home, and I'm not going to sell them to make money on either, there now sitting in my display cabinet.:)

I just only the other day paid $200 for a Wild Violet as this was the best price I had seen for this model,, and here you are getting one for $120... good on ya... I think my $200 outlay was worth it,,, but as you say,, you have just got to be in the rightr spot at the right time,.,, I have also picked up a Moffat No1 Cobra for $200 which I a pleased with,, low COA if that means anything,,

I usually don't manage to get many bargains, but $112 each for the CC #34 and #35 at Bathurst was pretty cool.
It's sad to see innocent ppl get ripped off when it comes to hobbies. A guy that i know, paid $300 for a glass display cabinet which retails for $99 at IKEA brand new in the box.
