Not a bad effort admin !!!
They look quite good & I wonder when we might see them avaliable for purchase ???
The metalic blue one looks good, but is that Blueprint or the darker badge blue colour ???
Are these the only XR8 colours that you are making or are you going to make the whole colour range ???
Are these XR8's also going to come in 1:18 or just the 1:43 & 1:64 as listed on the prototype page.
I can't wait for the GT's as they will certaintly look awesome !!!
Keep up the fantastic work,
cheers.:D

They will be out in April..with some of the race cars
18th should be out mid June.
We plan 4 of each colour, but as they have added a couple of colours, we may add a couple also.
It is Blueprint actually, but the flash 'blinded' it and its not a true representation.
And to the 'experts'...they are prototypes...we know the mirrors are body colour etc etc etc etc.

I'm not sure what you mean by this ???
Do you mean 4 scales 1:64, 1:43, 1:18 & ????
Or do you mean 4 models, XR6 Turbo, XR8, GT & ???
They look fantastic & April is not far away.
Can hardly wait,
cheers.:D

what scale are the cars on the prototype page? 1:43 or 1:64? or a mix (re-sized on the puter) either way they look like great models.

No XR6 Turbos ?? These are already reaching legend status on the road. Is Biante doing any ???

They look good, but is there anyway to make the glitter in the metallic paint smaller? Looks a bit too chunky.

i think the glitter may have something to do with the flash and maybe a bit of dust reflecting as there is a bit on the windscreen aswell. i have noticed that when taking photos of metallic paint it tends to show up glittery but in the flesh it usually looks great.

You might be right chups, I'm sure they will look great in the flesh.
Can't wait.

See my earlier comments.
Phantom and Acid Ruch are metallic as well, but were not in the direct line of the flash.
The metallic flake is to scale!!

on the topic of prototypes, i know its not likely but will the VU SS ute in tiger mica be out before easter? if not ill have to buy a CC 1:43 toy and paint it. i just wanted confirmation either way before buying the CC.
I am grateful that we are finally getting a up to date Ford road car, but what about the AU road cars, are we going to get any now that the BA is here? Why do we get the new model before the older model has been done? Just thought I'd ask!

Why would you want an AU ????:)
I'm sure Ford would rather forget they ever made such a vehcile & it appears that Biante has. :D
If your looking for a 1:43 AU there were several made by pardise garage when the AU was released.
I think the new Barra's look really good & I can't wait to get one.
cheers.
But Biante already have the Die for the AU, so why don't we get the AU like the Holden Camp got there VX and VT's.

drof
Excuse my ignorance, but when did Biante release any standard Holdens - VT or VX. I must have missed them.
Grubby
Apologies for my error, VT Clubsport, VT GTS, V2 Monaro, VT GTS, are the Holden road cars released. All we are after is a XR8, the 1st model with the Bi-Plane spoiler would be great.

No worries........I can see where you are coming from.
What was the go with the two spoilers on that particular car ?
Grubby
It was a way to differenciate between the standard XR8/6 and the XR8/6 VCT Models.

I thought the bi-wing rear spoiler, was an option on all AU1 XR's when they ordered the optional Tickford body kit ???
Could be wrong ???
cheers.

I think drof is referring to the batch of brilliant HSVs we have been given.
I don't really like the AUs, but I would buy a TS50, these are easily the best looking of the AU Falcons.

Great to see the BA on the way, but please (R) please don't put the stripes on the GT's.

I just wonder if the person who put those GT stripes on the Barra was the same person who designed the AU ???:D
As they are both about as ulgy as each other !!!
Can't wait for the models to start comming.
cheers.

The series 1 AU Bi-plane spoiler was available as part of the optional Tickford body kit for that particular model, be it XR6 or XR8. In the picture posted by DROF, you'll notice the extra sill panel rocker moulds, they also had front and rear bumper extensions and rear door lower edge extensions. Also included the flash Tickford wings and I think a red rocker cover with the Tickford logo versus the original green rocker cover. An XR ordered without the kit looks very plain in my opinion and came with only 16" wheels as standard.
The Variable Cam Timing option got you a car equipped with the V.C.T. of course, a very different exhaust system and the oval chrome tip which was also used on the XR8, but also got you the Independent Rear Suspension and also included electric windows to the rear seating positions. They changed the entire body kit when the series 2 was released. Just a bit more info for you.
Just as an extra note, I for one, being a die-hard Ford fan (who can appreciate any car for it's differences), don't actually mind the stripes on the G.T. dependant entirely on body colour. Remember though, they are an extra cost option, (then again though, I don't mind the radical styling of the AU). For those who order a new Falcon G.T. with the stripes may find that over time they will be more readily accepted and possibly be more desirable, time will tell.
Question- does anyone know whether the stripes on the new G.T. are actually stickers, or rather painted on- Admin? I'm sure you would have been close enough by now to verify?

Just to clarify, you can spot the difference in the series ones from the exhaust. The standard XR6 has the small single tipped exhaust, the XR6 VCT has the larger single oval and the XR8 has the twin tips.
Also the reason for the red rocker covers on xr6s is due to the cylinder head being the tickford version, as opposed to the green cover or the unpainted as I have seen on the pov pack falcon.
Also, I believe the twin wing spoiler was standard on XR8, could be wrong though.

The green rocker cover that you are talking about are form the Ford fitted straight LPG model (not dual fuel), not just the pov pack.
The Std XR6 had as red rocker cover as previously mentioned & the VCT had the letters V C T on it writtern at a 45 degree angle.
As for the exaust I was under the impression that the XR6 had no crome on a single oval pipe, where as the XR6 VCT did & the XR8 had the 2 small crome pipes.
I think the bi-wing spoiler was an option on all AU1 XR's, which they got when the optional body kit wa ordered.
Anyway I think it is time to move on from the AU (good ridance I say !!!) & get on with the Barra. The new prototype models look fantastic & it won't be long until we get to see them in the flesh.
I can hardley wait for them,
cheers.
