P101 will not be making a Bathurst book 1k10 this year. I think that is sad, the pictorial book they were producing were great. It looks like this has gone the way of the V8 yearbooks.

I guess the Chevron produced Great race is now the only annual again

that sucks. i bought all 4 of the 1K books last year so that i could be up to date and start an ongoing collection. :(

what a shame, I though both books had a lot to offer as they each showed different aspects of the great race

That's a shame. I was looking forward to that book.

Is the discontinuation a repercussion of the stuff up in the 2008 book where VB was displayed instead of XXXX.

Shattered, I too had all four copies, missed out on the 2008 and had to chase it down to keep the set, now seems a waste of time!!

hope they reconsider...It's a pain when a company releases such a terrific item then just stops...

I'm missing the 08 one too....glad I didn't rush out....

Dunno if I want to pay $100 for the chevron ones...

i only have the 07, brought for $10. the best great race books are the ones Bill Tuckey worked on IMO.

I agree with you there. He had a great way with words and a nice balance of love of the sport and healthy cynicism that made them a great read.

You'll have to buy the Chevron one then!

Very different styles of books though.

And a lot more expensive, as the collector in me will then want to get all 30 of them.

Yeah, that's the worry. Some of them are right hard to find, too.
