2.

Product Code: A78011 (http://www.biante.com.au/product_13521.htm)
Product Information: PORSCHE 911 CARRERA 3.2 - Red
Scale: 1:18

As they both look identical, I guess what I'm asking are, are they different models or the same model just with a different engine? As I can't actually pick a difference.

Any help would be appreciated from someone with some Porsche knowledge..

I have actually ordered the black one from a reseller.
Product Code: A78013 (http://www.biante.com.au/product_23326.htm) (http://www.biante.com.au/product_23326.htm)

As far as I know they are the same other than colour. Often model designations are a bit hit and miss, and sometimes Biante miss info off or mis-spell it. I don't think the red one is a 3.0 anyway.

I think you'll find that Autoart's three cars depict the 3.2 litre 911 Carrera that followed on from the 3.0 litre 911SC model in 1984 ... the Carrera name had previously disappeared from the 911 range at around the time that Porsche introduced the 928 model in the late 1970s. I can remember the 928 being mooted as a replacement for the aging 911 series, and how the 924 - and later the 944 - were also coming into the mix.

Ultimately, the 3.2 litre 911 Carrera carried the name through to the 964 series update in 1989 and was available in coupe, targa, and cabriolet versions.
