I have sold 1/43 and 1/18 scale. 1/43 can be posted for $4.00 plus $2.35 for registering. This gives up to $100 insurance cover and ensures that the model is signed for at the other end. Very necessary as Oz Post has managed to lose one of mine and they reimbursed me. On top of that is the cost of the Post Box unless you have some that you can recycyle.
The 1/18 usually vary according to where they are posted because of the weight and size factor. Generally I find that $15.00 will cover registered post anywhere in Oz but I charge less if it is to a local address. Once again the cost of the box needs to be added if you can't recycle any old ones.
I also sold a 1/18 to UK and it cost $38.00 for economy air-mail plus any insurance and packaging costs.
These are costs for 1 model - if you sell 2 or more and they go in one package there will be some saving. Be aware that Oz Post charges by cubic measure rather than by weight if the package weighs more than 1kg
I hope that this is of some help to you
Cheers

I know shipping to the States is hard to pin down. From Biante's palatable $30 to Darcy's and Model Cars of the World's jaw-dropping $55-$60, you never know what to expect.
Be lucky you're not shipping TO you guys from here. I just returned a damaged model and, thank God the retailer is covering the return shipping as it was a shade over US$40 (approx AU$66).
