For those of you who like to collect cars driven by famous Aussies overseas, here's a rare kit of the Lister #46 driven by Mark Skaife at Le Mans in 1997.

Jager.........I love Lister cars, particularly the Storm.
As I have yet to see a diecast Lister I bought the 1:32 FLY Model Le Mans Test Car set a little while back (Slot Cars). This has the '95 Lister Storm Test Car plus a Marcos LM 600 and a Joest Porsche. The detail on the Lister is superb for a slot car with proper mesh in the side intakes etc.....
Next time your in a hobby shop ask to see the this presentation pack......Its good.
Also I have just bought the first AUTOART Slot Car from Biante Website....2002 Subaru Monte Carlo WRC car of T. Makinen. Superb detail for their first shot at Slot. The picture on the website does not do it justice. Very pleased with the car.
Unforunately the price on the website has incresed by $10 + GST and the item is now in Transit.
Cheers,

Jager, I realise this topic is from several years ago, but could you (or anyone with info) possibly tell me what sort of kit (brand, etc) the Skaife Lister Storm was, as the ebay link obviously no longer works? Thanks in advance.

Probably a Provence Moulage kit from France. Might find on e-Bay overseas etc. Good Luck!
Hope that helps.

Szwadiak100, I believe Spark have this one planned for production sometime in the next 12 months, so don't worry too much about the kit and wait for the Spark model.

Make it three, LeMans cars are too good to pass up. Especially since they can make a few from the same mould :)

The colors of the car actually represent the Newcastle United Football Club in the UK....I'm not sure if they were sponsers but, the Club was connected with the cars in some way....

I just picked up my Mark Skaife 1997 Le Mans Lister today. A great looking model and one that I think will sell out fast for those Australian's whose motor racing interest extends beyond the V8's.

Yes, the model is already available in some places overseas. I saw it today in Tokyo so thought I'd grab it as I'm not sure how many Biante will get for the Australian market or whether it will be enough to satisfy the demand of Australian collectors. Most Spark models are generally limited to around 1,000 pieces worldwide and we don't seem to get too many in Australia.

I know the 73 & 76 Schuppan Le Mans car have been done by Spark, I'm close to getting a 1993 David Brabham Jaguar (does it have the standard spark slip behind?), Redline have made a 1973 Schenken Ferrari (but where to find one?), the 1970 Jack Brabham Matra & #32 Schenken is done by Spark (again can't find one?), 1957 Jack Brabham Cooper is also a Spark model (hard to find), but I'm not sure about the rest?
For my collection, Allan Simonsen cars also qualify, as Al has raced in Australia for a while, despite being Danish.

There was a 1970 Brabham Matra that sold on eBay last week. You missed out on a bargain :
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160382890483&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.com.au%3A80%2F%3F_from%3 DR40%26_trksid%3Dp3984.m38.l1313%26_nkw%3D16038289 0483%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1
I haven't seen any of the Redline 1973 Ferrari's for a while. They seem to have just disappeared (but remember Redline models are generally limited to just 500 - 750 pieces worldwide).
The Brabham Cooper is another that seems to have disappeared. I only recently got the baseplate of mine signed by Jack when he was in Perth.

I would of thought that Biante would have imported this car to go with there Brock / Perkins BRL car..........
