G'day Guys, thought i would start another thread on your most favorite memory from the 2010 season?
My Favorite would be:
-Ofocurse, GT winning both Clipsal 500 Races
-GT & Cam winning Race 1 at the GC600
-Lowndesy and Skaifey winning Bathurst together after 10 years apart
-Courtney beating Whincup to win the Championship
-I'll also add in GT & Cam's 3rd place at Bathurst as it was an awsome drive to comeback from a disastrous day :D
Cheers Josh

2 highlights:
Bathurst - seeing Skaife and Lowndes team up and win the big one was awesome
Race 1 Sydney - sick to death of brisbane fans getting shafted by channel 7 but turning over in time to see what a v8 parking lot looks like :D then Webb coming through for his first win, brilliant

Again, Skaifey winning Bathurst, with a little help from a guy called Craig Lowndes.;) Tis the 3rd time I've seen skaife win Bathurst in person now.:)
Clipsal seems so long ago but its always up there. (yes I'm bias).
Bathurst was fantastic just being there, the Gold Coast had Whincup against Van Gisbergen. Who will forget that last lap but Sydney had it all. As the old saying goes it aint over till its over. The race within a race from the mechanics on Saturday and the drama surrounding Courtney and the wheel nut etc and Gis again on the last lap jeez. I haven't seen any where near as much of the races as I would have liked but if I could change one thing it would be the mid year break. It seemed like ages before there was any racing, especially with the V8's.

Highs-
-GT breaking 888's 4 race wins in a row winning streak from O/S, and taking out the Clipsal 500.
-Skaife/Lowndes winning Bathurst, and Holden filling the top 4 spots for the 2nd year in a row.
-The Giz's battle with Whincup on the Gold Coast.
-Murph finishing on the podium at Symmons Plains.
-GRM, and Holden taking out the last race of the year.
Lows-
-Will Davison's year in general. Especially Bathurst. I nearly burst into tears when he, and David Reynolds crashed with just 10 laps to go after being in 3rd.
-Jason Richards being diagnosed with a stomach tumor. On the bright side atleast he's recovering, so I'm looking to him returning in 2011.
-DJR's ownership drama. Even though I'm a Holden fan I've always had a ton of respect for DJR, and this news tore me up inside. It was nice to see them win the championship after so many years of being through the winner. So I guess a low turned into a high.
-HRT. Had it not been for GT's talent there would be nothing for me to cheer for. This was easily their worst year in a long time. Probably since the early 1990s. In saying that I'm confident next year should be on the brighter side.

It's good to see new colours take the chequered flag, and that's what we got to see as the year came to a close :
- Dumbrell at Sandown
- Webb at Sydney
... and a special mention for The Giz yesterday, unlucky to lose, but lucky not to be wearing #17 as he crossed the finish line.

1. Webb winning Homebush, as I went to High School with him.
2. Courtney winning Championship.
3. Frosty Bathurst pole & Championship contention.
4. Dumbrell Sandown win.
5. Ford having 5 drivers in the Top 10 after a pre-season of Holden hype. Holden still won plenty this year, but it was great to see Ford do well after all the 'redwash' talk.

1. Crowd reaction when Coultard climbed out of wreck and waved after his tripple pike, double forward somersault roll at Bathurst ( then seeing some of the youtube footage from inside the car).
2. Gizz and Whincups battle at GC with Stone Bros encouraging him to do what it takes LOL
3. Lowndes lap in qualifying at Bathurst - actually got a shot of him on the record breaking lap which I hope to get him to sign.

Webb's first win
PD's first win
Seeing the comeraderie within the paddock on the behind the scenes specials on V8Xtra
but most importantly
JC winning the championship
DJR winning the championship
and along with Yap the twin burnout of #17 and #18 yesterday
these last 3 happening the year my young fella was born. Will make my 2010 shelf reflecting the year of his birth very expensive, but also give me good memories, and a good hand-me-down when he is old enough :) If only there was a DJR win at Bathurst

Oh yeah Dumbrell having his first time win this year, good stuff, and all the ford teams having a great year despite being totally written off at the start of the season by holden motorsports total domination policy.(that worked out quite well).

For me it was just the whole Bathurst trip this year finally getting to meet several forum members, being cheaffuer driven there and back :p thanks Danny ;) legend. Signature haul tally, goodies obtained, Biante night thanks Chris and crew. And while my team HRT couldnt pull of a memorable anniversary win holdens domination of the mountain certainly made up for it. And wazzas big foot n mouth effort was just GOLD :p

SVG's first podium in Abu Dahbi and having a photo of him crossing the line and also on the podium, both signed by him when they got to Adelaide.
SVG's battle with Whincup on the GC.
Coultards lucky escape.
DJR's efforts to get JC on the track on Saturday in Sydney. THAT was the championship moment for me.
Sorry if I offend but seeing both HRT cars imbed themselves in the same spot on differant days at Sandown!
Oh Five

1/ Clipsal. Just love the whole 6 days over there.
2/ Bathurst. Just love the whole 8 days up there.

Holdsworth finally getting his 2nd win last Sunday after 3 years - more please.
Winton - I go each year & it's a great round of racing.
Coulthard getting out of his wreck at Bathurst.
Seeing Dick Johnson smiling again (& I'm a Brock/Holden man).
Stopping teams pairing their top drivers at the enduros - I emailed that idea to the organisers 3 years ago & never got a reply funny that!
10 days at Bathurst - Can't beat it.
More soft tyres rounds - more please .
Lows
CH7 Coverage - absolute rubbish, They need to get rid of Matthew White he is an dribbler & Mark Larkham is a wanker - can't stand either of them. Also too many cut backs to the pits just to see mechanics standing there looking at screens especially Mark Dutton &
Roland Dane - are these 2 drivers? NO so stop showing them. The constant praising by Crommley & Skaife about T888 - I know Skaife worked for them but my god his nose couldn't be any further up T888 a--e - sickening.
David Besnard's stuff up at Bathurst by entering the pitlane too fast thus ruining Car 33's chances & then blaming Holdsworth.
Sydney 500 - blocking off the only good viewing area opposite the Novotel - well done to the organisers so glad I didn't waste my money by attending.
V8's removing another car off the series - 28 what a bloody joke - even the Historics now have more entries.
V8 SUPERCARS proved it was on pit exit and it was not Besnard. GR welcomed DB back next year

To be honest, I didn't think the commentry squad praised T8 any more than it screamed that SVG was a revelation, or told us that it was "on for young and old".
They're the most successful team of the moment, and Craig Lowndes is one of the most charismatic drivers in the series (both in his balls-out driving style, and how he is off the track). There's an element of truth to what they're saying. At least they're not babbling on about how Karl Reindler is the greatest driver. At least there's a bit of substance behind what they're saying, and it's not total rubbish.
Loved seeing skaifey win another Bathurst... Just awesome!
Disappointed at the HRT/Bundy efforts this season... Hope it all turns out better next season.

that'd be a quadset :p
coverage was average... I'd like to know why they have to have the leaderboard getting closer to the center of the screen.. I mean the whole lot is usually in the way of what is going on

V8 SUPERCARS proved it was on pit exit and it was not Besnard. GR welcomed DB back next year
Sorry but V8's were wrong - I spoke to Garry after Bathurst & he told me that it was Besnard's fault on pitlane entry & he has the data to prove it.
He said that to V8 sc and they said the gun was down the exit and that is where the call came from. Why did he re neg then offer Bessy to come back next year.
