Before you read this,it is not WHINGIN or COMPLAINING but simply a question/suggestion.
I think all boxes should come in a clear window display box.That way you have 2 options--get it straight home,remove straps and put on display inside the box--it will stop dust getting in,and save room.The second option is to get it home remove car from box and put on display.
If a full sealed box then you have no option but to take it out and put on display(If you have shelves and room etc)=when on display they get dusty really quickly and usually little aerials and wipers get caught while cleaning.Also you have to find room to stack all the empty boxes--when 1/18 they take up lots of room.
The other question/suggestion is I would love to see colour coded boxs-(like USA Nascar packaging)-its really eye catching and would be lot better than the usual white or cream boxes--it could have the major team logos and Holden/Ford badges on it etc,etc.Imagine a colour coded bright green---Greens Tuf box/Yellow Federation#1 Ford/Ron Hodges #7 Torana!!!It would look absolutely fantastic.

personally Id love to see all the cars come in the enclosed boxes BUT have those clear cases on the inside (didnt biante do this for one of the brock collection?)
and the boxes are different colours already...
grey=HSV road cars
red = HRT race cars
blue=kmart cars
yellow= team brock car
red with car picture = last years team brock car
thats just in my collection

I know, gotta use the box from the GTS and get a few stickers made to stick over the GTS logos or something. I want it to look like it came from the factory.

I just thought of something extremely cool for a box. I'm not letting the cat out of the bag just yet, will post a pic when I do it. It's gonna be F'n awesome.

One of the consequences/benefits/dangers/whatever of an enclosed box is the ability to display the model for a time, tuck it back in and sell it as undisplayed.
I bought a previously-displayed DY GTS and got it for an exceptional price. Upon its arrival, I checked it carefullly. Had the seller not divulged the information, I don't think I would've known.
Frankly, I don't like the straps. They did a number on the finishes of my Red and Blue A9Xs. Thank goodness the PW A9X arrived unscathed.
Some of the later boxes with the pictures on the outside could be worked into a display.

Personally, I like the closed boxes, and feel the models are safer inside for their long journey from Perth to NZ.
Actually what I really like is the look of some of the boxes, which are just about becoming works of art.
The yellow Biante Historic Monaro and the 2002 Murphy VX Commodore are two boxes that I think are absolutly beautiful.....
....now if we could only get a Biante album which holds both the COA's and the boxes....:D

I too believe that all models should come in foam boxes.
The windowed boxes are absolutely useless for trasportation, stacking and durability.
I am uneasy about the idea of having straps on the car. I'd like Biante to move towards the CC style of packaging.

I'm gonna sit on the fence with this one...I like the window boxes because I can display them (need to build a cabinet to display the 1:18's), but at the same time, the closed boxes are much better for transporting...
Sort of a catch 22 for me...

You are right about boxes being coloured,but a red box with HRT symbols on each corner is hardly interesting in a collection,they dont look ugly but could be a real talking point in your collection if done the way I imagine.
Nascar packaging includes part of the cars paint schemes on the box,Major sponsors,car number,drivers name in a coloured design.Trust me Malik, if done like the way I dream they will be absolutely fantastic.

Thats what Im thinking of,not everyone has room to display models or can afford to have display shelves,for someone like yourself,just get it home,remove straps and its dust free on display.
As for strength,there not that bad-as long as you dont stack 50 on top of each other---and the people who deliver these models (couriers etc) get paid to deliver things, they should just take more care and DO NOT THROW them around.

I guess it depends on if you use the boxes as part of a display or not... most of my cars are out of the boxes and the boxes are stored.... although I actually use some to display the cars on... I have 3 of my HSV road cars on top of their boxes on a shelf with more cars in front effectively giving me 2 lvls to display on... and they are pretty basic grey with the HSV and the car in the corner.. but it works.

If my SV99 box works out how I plan it to it will look sensational in a display by itself. I'll try and get it done some time this week.
