The black CV8 is worth chasing. And for the 1/43 collectors, the concept VT coupe would also be.
As for the 1/18 motorshow release monaros have only had a box and certificate change, not really worth getting, if you have the others.

Kid,
One will turn up, I'm sure.

Quoted $300 when I was looking.
A set of all 9 coupes sold for $1025 on a auction site.

I have seen the Black Coupe "employee's Only" Car going for around $450 on the biante For Sale Ads, And as for the Sydney Motor Show Cars, the cars are the same as the regular ones, Just different packaging, and have seen those for sale around the $300 mark. None of the above Models form part of the "Offical" Biante collection.

There was a sydney show red hot CV8 1:18 for sale on the 'old' biante site, in the buy and sell section. Was there for about a month, advertised about four times. Going price was $140.

I figured it would be gone within a few days, but after seeing it advertised a few more times, i guessed it would be wise to snap it up.... so i did.

Scince I sorta started this thread I will tell what I consider to be special in my Biante Collectables
1. 1999 Bathurst Commodores
2. 2001 Bathusrt Twin Pack Commodores
3. Twin Mirrored White XY
4. Black CV8
5. Sting Red R8 1/18
6. Track Red XY 1/18 (first model by Biante)
7. Biante Calenders
8. Biante postcard (Wildviolet XY)
9. Race Commodores poster.
10. Biante pin.

These are the items I treasure as replacement of these would not be easy.
Thus I do agree with the members who are against Biante releasing to many of the same model as the rarer the model/article is, the more collectible it makes it and also more prized by its owner. If certain models are low in numbers so as thier value does increase signaficantly over the years more the better. I am sure Biante know by now how many of each model will sell within a month of being released. As long as significant numbers are made to satisfy the collector, there is no need to make surplus models to sit on shop shelves for 12 to 24 months as some models have. I know there is the factor of the cost of the model to make as to how many need to be produced., but reissueing the same car in a different box isnt going to put money in the bank when it dosent sell. EG. 2001 HRT's and Shell Fords.
