Can anybody help, after DJR EB11 Falcon won Bathurst in 94 somebody put out a model of that car, I think it was mounted on a wooden base and was 1:18 or bigger. I never saw it in person but spoke to a shop owner about buying it but it was too much at the time. As I cant get any word on if or when Biante are going to put out this car I am interested in tracking down if this other one is a good substitute. Does anybody know what sort of time frame on the Queensland 500 AU with the blue roof (Legends back) car as the classic 1:43 looks good the Biante version will look even better on my bar. Thanks. Look out for a rat revival at Barbegello.

try www.gatewaymodels.com.au

i think they have some DJR 1993 & 94 Bowe/Johnson cars in 1/24 by Dinkum at around $150

the last Dick Johnson race car?, well i think Biante are still selling the Johnson/Johnson 1999 Bathurst race car.

And the DJR AU Cars have been released many times in different forms from two model manufacturers.

So I can't see that (Ipswich - last race car) one coming out for a while. But I believe it is part of the Johnson collection by Biante.

Craig, I know the car you're talking about, I want one too!!
They're as rare as anything... Price quoted to me when I saw one originally was around $400, who knows what they're worth now, if you can find one....

XR8, you're obviously a man of good taste and have been collecting these things a lot longer than me, get in the ear of that bloody administrator and find out what is going on with the EB and EF. I was quoted 400 as well, would be interested to know who made them and in what numbers. Thanks mate, DJR WILL BE BACK.

The model was made by Dinkum in 1/25. A mate has it and paid about $350 about 5 years ago. As with all Dinkums, they are OK but I think you should not worry about trying to buy a second hand dinkum, save your cash and wait for the 1/18 Biante. If its anything like the XD, it will be worth the wait.

As a fairly significant car in DJs career, I don't think this could not be made.

Thanks for the info Troy, I'll take your advice and hopefully we'll get an idea about if and when Biante will make it.

Troy, I have to say that from memory, the detail that was evident on the Dinkum EB was easily equal to that of the current Biante models. I'd still like to get my hands on one, as I'm sure they were made in very limited numbers, around 200???
I'm also sure that the Biante examples of the DJR EB / EF / EL Falcons, when they release them, will be of the usual quality!!

I'd just like to see them, or some other Fords (Group C..other than DJR) come out as soon as reasonably possible!!!
Pretty please Admin, hear our cries!!!!

Yes, the model was good. It was very clear however that it was a limited production model and very much hand built. As was said, there were only 200 or so built. I would not have spent $350 on it, although his had a the baseplate signed by Johnson and Bowe.

It was also in a scale which is uncommon for anyone collecting Biante (ok if you collect 1/25 Dinkum) and would look out of place in a lot of collections. If you are really desperate for this model and you can find one available, you would not be disappointed with the dinkum, but it is not comparable to a Biante.

Bring on the Biante EBs.
