Does anyone know where I can get info on exactly when "Production Planned" AutoArt releases will arrive? Their website isn't a lot of help, and sites like Scale18 just repeat the same info. There are a whole load of rally and touring car models due, but whether it's next week or next year I can't tell.....My usual model shop closed last month, and the only other diecast shop in Oxford was no help, as the guy hadn't heard of AutoArt. Turns out they only stock Dinky and Corgi buses, vans and tractors and the like.

What is it about UK collectors and buses - never did understand that ?

At the risk or repeating the obvious, the 'In Transit' section of the Biante website will show you when models are 3 - 4 weeks away from being delivered. Similarly, dealers know stock is on the way you will usually see these models start to appear on eBay.

Anything beyond that is uncertain due to so many variables, so even the manufacturer won't always know whether something is 3 or 6 months away.

It just depends, the Ford GT Tango w/black stripes has been in Production Planned status for as long as I can remember, then others are only there for a short time span. I guess it depends on how important the companies believe the model is to be released.

Jager, the UK's most popular diecast models, if the hobby magazines are to be believed, are buses, old tradesman's vans, tractors, diggers, police cars of yesteryear, and old planes. Race cars, sports cars etc just don't get a look-in! And I don't understand it either....
There are notable exceptions, shops in London that stock AutoArt/Minichamps etc, even Biante! But most have often not heard of anything other than Dinky, Lledo, Corgi etc.
