I wonder what happened to both our Biante car & Mr Brock ???

There sure was some interesting pieces of automotive history racing out there & I just hope we get some coverage of these's wonders on Trackside before the year is out as it sure would make some interesting viewing !!!

I just wished i could be there to see them live.

cheers. :D

I'd like to see what this "Plymouth Barracuda" looks like.
My favourite car in the championship is the Garry Treloar Chrysler Charger VH.
Theres a story in todays Daily Telegraph auto section all about the purple XU-1 Brockys racing this weekend.

Brad someone in the Binate Pit said the 05 car had fuel problems today in the race, and did a head gasket yesterday in practise.

I spoke to the mechanic that was workiing on the 05 XU-1, and he said that a head gasket blew for some strange reason, and today the fuel filter was full of crap from the tank, he said that the car hasn't been used for 2-3 years,so all the crap from inside the tank blocked the fuel filter and aventualy ended Brocks day, but he said it will be right for Sunday !

Yes it was a head gasket and what about the red xu1 beside him on the grid that started 37th and finished 12th and Brocks
car running illegal slotted rotors. Naughty, naughty. Now before you all jump on me I am not Brock bashing but rules are rules.

When the telecast started on TV the comentators were waisting time talking about all the aspects of the V8 Supercars. While this was happening the Biante Historics were racing. Why didnt they telecast that race as well. I for one would love to see the good old Holdens, Fords and the rest race. Oh well maybe next season.

The XU-1 that Brockie was running on the weekend was the same car that Peter and James piloted in the Targa Tasmania a few years ago. He said it was a great little car to race in that series and was having a ball running it around EC.

I was surprised to find out that the only car in the whole field that was an actual ex race car was the white Mustang #11 driven by Donnelly. This was an ex Pete Geogahan race car.

There was some great action from the races and when I get my film develpoed I will scan some pics and post them on here.

Thanks kiwiracing, as I was not at the track I did not know what the brock car looked like. I had read somewhere that the XU1 was paited up like his first Bathurst winner & hense I thought the purple car was another vehicle.

Cheers. :)

ps, does anyone know if the Trackside program is going to show any of these races on the 7th ???
