About six months ago, I was thinking about buying 1/24 "Mad Max" Falcon XB from Dinkum Classics. High price for this model has deterred me from getting one, but the guys from Auswidemodels told me that almost every "Mad Max" model that they've sold was bought by an American collector. This fact makes me curious, roughly what percentage of Biante models find their ways to overseas destinations?

Regards,
Sergey

I had the chance to get one of these models but was unhappy with the price ($299) and the quality of the model.

I couldn't care less if some guy in America bought every single one of those crappy models.
I am just WAITING for biante to release the Interceptor from the first film.

I am sure that if they made the Mad Max car that they would have no problems selling them as all car collectors, yes even holden fans, would like to add it to their collection.

I would sell or swap ANY of my models for this car if it was ever to be released.

I think Biante should get rid of ALL those HRT cars & get on with the real ones.

Cheers

Im with you MFP and MAX, the Interceptor from the Original in 1/18 would be a must have, include the MFPs and Nigthriders Monaro and they would make an awesome collection.

Hey, jimthegoose, how about a diorama of the goose in that covered bed, all black and crispy? (sorry, couldn't resist):D

But seriously, the Mad Max Collection would be The Ultimate is 1:18.

Put me down for 'em all!

Cheers, ET

Fellow MadMax Fans,

Out of all the car movies that I have ever seen, this would have to have the BIGGEST following.

I think that the Interceptor from the first film is a million times better than the Road Warrior Car.

I think that the 1:24 scale MM2 car was supposed to be more for the American market as Mad Max 2 was called Road Warrior over there and they recognise that car alot more than the first car.

Who in Australia would buy that car.
It looks stupid and I would rather pay $300 for a biante 1:18 scale of the First Interceptor.

You guys have already designed the XB shell.
I dont believe that it would be that difficult to complete considering some of the other cars that you have released are perfect.

As you can see, I am not on my own here.
What do we have to do to get this model?

"When do we go for a ride"

All you Mad Max fans out there do NOT go crazy, but we are about 2 weeks away from getting a License for these models.
It seems the wheels turn slowly in movie land, but we have been informed that all should be signed in a couple of weeks. This could drag on a bit, but it looks OK at this stage.

YEEEEHAAAAA!!!!!

Sign me up!!
Where do I sign????

Ya better make plenty o' these, Mr. Admin., or give us plenty of warning on the release date, 'cos I reckon there'll be a HUGE demand for this one!

And Congrats for persisting with that licence thing.

Keep The Shiny Side Up!!

I agree with Jed. The "Mad Max" cars are very popular outside Australia. Since it's not possible to release these models in different liveries, please make sure that the production run we'll be in reasonable numbers.

You just have to check the Mad Max sites on the net to realise how big MM is over in the US and Japan. When you produce these, Biante, surely numbers like Ertl etc produce would more than sell out here and overseas. Surely a large run of [say] 10,000 cars would sell in Oz, Japan and the US. Especially as some of the Falcon models are now sold by you as Autoart, the world market for the Mad Max car would be huge. To further make the mold pay its way, you could do the Mad Max 1 car, then the "complete" Mad max 2 car, and then the MM2 car as it ends up in the actual movie minus the front and the dirty look.

As you would know, Ertl is currently producing some "dirty" versions of cars such as the Vanishing Point Charger and they are a sellout in USA. Please Biante, do more than one version of the MM car.

ET, black and crispy, it doesn't matter. How about this: Mad Max 4 - Return of the Goose. Now there is a statement. Remember, you saw it here first.

I'd rather see a diorama of the Goose in bed with the singer. WHOOHOO!!!

and now I hear that there is a licence agreement coming for the models. Life can't get any better.

That is truly great news. THANK YOU BIANTE for listening to what the collectors really want. I've have been completely happy with all the cars I've already recieved and this one is sure to be as great as the rest. I now this would be huge in the US. . Hell there are at least 5 complete full size replicas finished running around and at least that many more being prepped for assault on the skags.take a look in issue 3 of AMC ,5 cars (including a Interceptor) were at Carlisle PA for the All Ford show . The cars were a huge hit . I'm all for the full set of cars ,but I'd be happy with the black on black if that is all we can get. It would make a nice collection complete. Especially when the XA GT coupes come out. Good point about the yellow sedans as it would give another way to market the 4 doors too. I'm also sure it's only a matter of time until a HQ Monaro is produced so that would fit in to regular production too. Hope to see it all come about.

How far off are you guys to getting the licence if you havn't got it already.

Also how about some prototype pics once the model has begun to take shape?

Cheers

See You On The Road........

Almost another month gone by, any news yet.

I have told my girlfriend not to buy me any birthday or XMAS presents and save her money so when the INTERCEPTOR is released she will be able to get it for me then.
