Unlike other new releases, these models are listed under "Place Advance Orders" section: http://www.biante.com.au/advanceOrders.cfm
I was thinking about getting these, but Biante shipping charges are ridiculous for 1/64 scale models: $30AUD for International shipping for both. The same amount one pays for 1/18 scale diecast.

Yes, the charges for 2 x 1:64 scale do 'seem' ridiculous. This is because the computer automatically calculates freight on the no. of items ordered.

The 1:64 by insured air mail properly packaged as they are in perspex cases is A$20.00 and this will be handrated.

Many of the charges do not cover the actual costs of shipping some of the larger models, but we do not charge the purchaser extra.:)

If in doubt email Biante first

Thanks for clarification, but I'd rather save my money and order the whole set in the future. I haven't noticed earlier that besides "Biante" models, you have released a whole bunch of other models of different Supercar teams. Although, I would like to make a suggestion. I doubt that most of the collectors have the funds to afford all 1/18 scale releases. The majority of the collectors would probably want to complement their 1/18 scale collection with 1/43 or 1/64 models of OTHER ATCC teams. The problem here is that Binate releases the SAME models accross all the scales. So, how about other teams diecasts produced in more affordable 1/43 or 1/64 scale?!

I'd like to congratulate Biante on these new models. Great.
I'd also like to know how many are being produced.

I believe it all comes down to licensing. Legally you can not release something you don't have a licence for from the respective team. Unless you want to go to court over it, and most likely lose the case.

I'm fully aware of the licensing issue. Although, there are always some ways to work around license. For example, BBR makes models of modern road and racing Ferraris, but Mattel holds the overall license for Ferrari. So, who knows? My suggestion was for Biante to acquire rights to produce models of other (i.e. not so popular as Gibson's or HRT's) teams in smaller scale. I understand that it's financially not feasible to produce 1/18 scale models of all the teams AT Biante high standards. I guess we'll have to see how does Classic Carlectables Precision line of 1/18 and 1/43 scale diecasts will turn out.

Sergey

I got my mini cars today (Skaife, R.Kelly, Murphy, Baird) and the detail (expecially in the sponsors decals) is incredible, they have even painted the bonnet clips and rain light on.
they look even better than in the pics (presumably prototype models)

i just wonder if they have included the pedals like in the 1:43 sacle (even though you cant see them) a nice little touch there biante.

Very impressed
