It has been reported that some entities at HRT are not pleased with the closeness of the Brock merchandising and the choosen colour in particular
I do have a 1/43 volvo 850 driven even at bathurst .
The colour of this 1996 car and the livery are to say the least ,Very similar to the Brock team colours and chosen lettering
and also had the number 05 on the swede
It seemed to me that the queu at the Brock merchandising outlet was BIG, but maybe this has also a lot to do with ther beautifull and friendly ladies (Hello Kristy),who were serving the fans, plus the HUGE amounts of signatures Mr. P. Brock did for the fans and HRT (hormone replacement therapy,it also stands for,) and it will be fun to see how the hrt people are going about with this subject that involves their BIGGEST icon ,who ,over time, has been given not always the easiest of times by the hirarchie ,i.e. polaris issue around the time of the HRT VL Group 1V8 roadcar which could be ordered with a Pyramide on the back hoodplank and was therefore a signed and numbered (aproved by Peter Brock )HRT car in Darkish red colour ,which realy suited the car. The one before that was the Blue Meanmachine V?k
with a letterbox in the front for the petrol/tyrebills.

I bought HRT stuff because I like the design and the logo.
I have heard storys about HRT, and don't know the fully story.
I follow any holden team, but now, will buy team brock stuff instead.

as far as the "similar colour" of the merchanidising is concerned, i dont understand why anyone is fussing about it. every team has their right to use red as their base colour. i find red very appropriate for team brock considering they have rod nash, brocky and harrop as the main icons, all of whom have holden written all over their faces.
merchadise aside, why didnt anyone complain when nash ran that red VX commodore last year for longhurst?
this is all that fair on team brock...... i hope this dispute doesn't get any bigger.

Maybe ;and only my oppinion, Hrt is affraid of losing in the merchandising income and TWR is a wee bit short of folding so uncle Tom has come out of his hut to stop the bleeding and someone on a wage at hrt is doing the dirty work for him.
I cannot express what I realy think of this person ,cause I would have to ban myself!never mind admin.

dont get me wrong, im not having a go at team brock or hrt (i heard it gives you cancer) but im getting a bit sick of red . red red and red , its all RED !!!!!!!!! i quite like the k-mart racing merchandise with more blue on it. i know the money still goes to twr but atleast you are not wearing the same as everyone else. yes i know if people saw me at the model car show yesterday they would of noticed i was wearing a RED hrt jumper, (im not a hipocrit) my g/f bought it for me. i think team brock would look awsome as black & red or mainly blue with red and white. but i do agree they shouldnt have to change their colours just cos tommy had a sissy fit. (its all about money)
just my views

chups, black and red for team brock is fine. but TWR would still complain - remember HRT now has black as one of their main colours too.
blue? you mean going back to the pre-1998 MHRT days? somehow I just cannot associate brock and harrop with blue these days....... espeically after targa tassie.

The Team Brock jacket uses more of a Floro orange than the red like Hrt. The other colour is grey. It looks nothing like the HRT gear so I cant see what all the fuss is about. I guess the car colour is similar but the car was already painted red. Can you copyright a colour? HRT might be simply trying to protect their marketing dollars, they practically operate the team on the revenue.
My tip is a Brocky return to Bathurst, driving with his son. All the HRT fans wont be able to dump their jackets quick enough to get in the Team Brock merchandise tent.
The Legend will ride again.

Don't follow all the fuss. Brock has worked hard to get were he is and I have never met him, but from every thing I have seen, there hasn't been anything bad what so ever about the guy.
Fact is, where buying it because of the brock name and we like the style. Not because it’s red. I am sure there got better things to worry about.
I would love to see Brock/Brock at bathurst, but sounds like that wont be happening.

Its just the power of the Dollar talking
HRT want it all, just look at the current re-releases of cars that nobody wants.
Why on earth are HRT doing a Lowndes farewell? We already have the cars and the certificate states Craigs last drive.

HRT probably won't be where they are now without brock, lowndes and grech......
brocky is probably the nicest guy around the paddock on race days now. he's so open and friendly, and he deserves his fans.

I have the 2001 and 2002 HRT jumpers and the new Team Brock jumper and i dont know what all the fuss is about. I buy them to support HOLDEN. But i must say i love my Team Brock jumper the best as Peter Perfect is the best V8 driver ever. As Westy was saying he has never forgoten that without the fans he would have nothing.

SEEING RED!!!
I guess HRT is just not happy, leading the championship by a country mile, having the rules almost written BY them (not even for them), so now some of the head honchos (EGOs) think they own the colour red!
Brocky is an Icon (big statement from a Ford fan), and this is how they treat him??? I guess it's sour grapes given their No1 driven is less than fan-friendly (but I'm sure he looks after the corporates) and is less than popular or respected in pit lane.....
Come on Holden, give Brocky a break! After all he's done to promote your brand (even after the controversies of the 'polariser' et al), is there any need for this nonsense??
