David Thexton has sold franchise to WPS racing giving Mark Noske his ride along side David Besnard

That might just be the best thing Thexton has done in his motorsport career. Unfortunently, Noske can't run at Pukekohe because he isn't in the top 32 in the championship :( .

What!
No more moving chicane, the V8SCC will never be the same!

I wonder if WPS will also get Thextans BA Falcon to use as a spare car?
FPR is using Besnards car from last year as a spare.

i'm sure his dollars from the franchise would fund his drive in the carrea cup even if he wasnt a multi.
anyone know the price of the franchise.

He probably took one look at the thexton post on this board and decided enough is enough, you guys did a good number on him.

I personally believe David Thexton is perfectly entitled to do what he's doing. If he has the money, loves motorsport, and wants to spend his money in this sport, then let him. He could quite easily go and spend his money elsewhere. Just remember, it's guys like him who buy and race the cars we all love to watch. Without them, it would just be people like me racing around in our cheap little old Toyotas....:(

Good luck to him. If I had millions and love to drive fast (which I do - just don't have the millions part :( lol ) I would try my hand at racing in the top level!!!

Maybe he should have ran the team instead of selling up??? Get some young guns in and have your car running around still in the thexton livery...

Are you all positive you V8supercars fans, that you dont want Thexton back?

Carrera Cup Hidden Valley.

Practice. 18th postion, out of 19 starters.
Qualifying 19th. Last on grid
Race 1. 16th postion out of 17 cars. Two cars DNF
Race 2. 17th Last. Two cars DNF
Race3. 17th postion out of 18 cars. One DNF.

The positive thing out of all this is that he didnt DNF, but once again he is HOLDING UP TRAFFIC!

How can he be holding up traffic when he's last?:D :D

He was holding up the front runners, as he was frequently lapped. ;)

dont they ahve a qualifying time limit to be within some many seconds of the leading car to race...
maybe he should have just done the Konica series or as goldie said, said ran the team and put a yng gun in there..

hey whatever happened to the Ladies team that was buzzin around a few years back?

I've thought of the perfect category for him - PROCAR (or whatever its called). He could race a Monaro or Lambo and he might not get lapped.

But why doesn't he just develop a young gun in carrera cup or a category where he can get notice.

i was just reading an article yesterday, and he is looking to run a 3 car Porsche team from his gold coast base.

he was saying the big thing with the V8's is that they are not allowed to do much testing and qualifying which has hindered his learning curve and race time, where with the Porsche's he can test his heart content.

but when you think about it, if we had the money he has we would most likely do the same, no matter how good we are
