In the Saturday Daily telegraph there was some great news....
Peter Brock will be back for the Bob Jane T-marts 1000 in October this year and is using the Australian Safari as a fitness test and theres a fair chance of seeing him race in the QLD 500 as a Supercar enduro test for the Bathurst 1000.
Brock might also contest the Bathurst 24 hour in November.

Can't wait for the 'Brocks back' models in 1/18,1/43 and hopefully 1/64.
Also news from Classics, there going to be some Larry Perkins farwell items on the way and some will be for RCCA members only.

Onya Brocky, give those HRT snobs a kick in the arse!!!

Yeah i read about that too - but question is, is he going to drive with Team Brock? and if so, who is co-driving? Son Jamie brock or kiwi Craig Baird? where is baird going to go if he's kicked out?

perkins farewell stuff for RCCA members should be great.

Guys you should first check the credibility and level of intelligence of the writer of that report (or its editor).
There are a number of facts stated incorrect, such as:

00 Motorsport called Gibson Motorsport
Mistaking the 24 hr Bathurst with the 1000
PB named as team manager for Team Brock instead of Rod Nash

If they can't get their facts right, their credibility in my eyes is exactly zero. Seems to me they had a slow news day, so made up a bunch of rubbish based on "industry sources".

Hati, you probably have a point. The story I read was that he was to compete in the Bathurst 24 hour race which is not the Bathurst 1000 and that he would be driving a Monaro. Nothing to do with Team Brock.

V8SS I read the same thing in one of the motor racing papers, Brock would be driving a Monaro in the Bathurst 24hr race, Brock didn't confirm this but he didn't deny it either. Thje artical also state that Garry Rogers Motorsport is setting up 2 monaros ata the moment.

You're spot on there Burge05. I think it was Auto Action and yes, he didn't confirm it but said he would love to do it as his first Bathurst was in a a Monaro and he would love to do it again in a Monaro or something like that??? I can't remember as I was too excited about the possibility of a Monaro with Holden livery down the side and the chance of Biante producing a model of it!!

Yep you're right,Brock said he would love the chance to race with son James & from what i remember of the article in AA, was to run a Monaro in the 24hr race in November, definately not the 1000.
GRogers have been building two for a while, reportedly going to use 7litre motor, check out their website for more info & update on the progress

I reckon Brocky is using the Bathurst 1000 as preperaion for the 24 hour and to get used to the VX/Monaro race car(he last raced a VS).

Also the Nations cup Monaro is rumoured to be a 7 litre le mans GTS class Chev engine with 400 kw!!!!
Under the current rules for Nations Cup there must be at least 200 road cars of the vehicale racing so to solve that problem Holden is working with HSV and CSV(Corsa special vehicales) to make a road car of the racing version.
Just imagine driving a 7L 200 gran Monaro...............

Check out 2days AutoAction 24/7, Brock says has not ruled out a one off return along side Craig Baird but plans are still in their infancy stages, but alot of things need to happen before he would consider it
