I read the latest issue of ModelArt Australia which featured Part 2 on Aussie Diecast car models. (Gotta get the previous one)
They tell when the models were released and how many were built.

It tells that only 1800 of the Asia On Line Commodore were built. Therfore I was surprised to see one in a shop window today and also noted that the Biante page shows them as "limited stock." What really surprises me is that they are still available considering the relatively small number built.

The livery is quite nice with the checks and pin-stripes. Don't like the star on the bonnet though.

Is there a problem with this unit or is Faulkner just not as popular as the others?

To many VT race cars were released at once, and because collectors have decided to only collect certain cars, eg: just bathurst winners etc. So that is why alot of VT race cars around.
I think the asia online car came out excellent.
Look forward to displaying it one day.

V8Coupe is right. There were a lot of VT's released and not many people would collect "faulkner" cars. I personally think its a great looking model with the paint scheme which has been reproduced by Biante brilliantly. I would like to get it one day but need to prioritise my funds towards the models that I do collect.
As there were only 1800 made, I would think that this will soon become a rare model and prices may increase. It is still possible to pick this up from auction sites for around AUD$110-00.

I picked one up yesterday along with a Bargwana, Tander, Kelly, Ingall and Perkins All six cars from a Perth retailer, brand new, $375 for the lot. I hate Holdens but at that price!!!
