recently i picked up two books " matchbox diecast toys the first forty years " which is just fantastic reading along with "the great book of corgi 1956-1983 again is a good read it shows over the years cars like the batmobile which in 1969 sold 4,907,000 and that my friend is not a misprint the man from uncle car 1,479,000 in 1969 these books opened my eyes to model cars and if anyone wants to know anything about these makes i would gladly look it up for you:cool:

Not just Matchbox and Corgi but Dinky as well, I think there isn't one kid in this world who has had at least one of those in their toy box, Get on Ebay at some stage and see how much some of these are going for - It really makes me wish I had taken more care of mine but who has that sort of hindsight as a nipper hey!!

Oh if anyone has a busted up Dinky Thunderbird 2 or Lady Penelope FAB1 Rolls that they may want to get rid of give me a hoy!
