Got a good mate over for dinner, he owns an EH Wagon, been in his family for 34 years. Lovely car, I'd love to buy it one day but he says it's his Daughter's inheritance. I vaguely remember Admin. (or someone) mentioning that Biante were going to do the EH "One Day". Does anyone know anyting about this? He has a Trax 1/43 wagon but this a little less than perfect as we all know, so a quality effort by Biante would be welcome. Thanks.

I agree totally, I would love to have a 1/18 EH in my collection.
I read somewhere that Biante were doing all the Holdens from about VL onwards, what a nice sight in the display case, but yes, an EH would make my day.
Cheers. Michael.
Yep , Bring on a good 1:18 of the EJ/EH!!
The Trax classic holdens like FX-HR etc sell out quick if they're a popular colour scheme and/or a model depicting an actual company vehicle like NRMA at that time.
I would like a good quality model in 1:18 of the an EJ and EH Special!
Guess Biante is concentrating on more modern ERA stuff, later popular stuff that will recoup their costs, and recoup them quickly.
Cheers

Steve,
Dave could try a Wyn toy EH just as old as the original but as rare as rocking horse sh**. They are probaly 1/10 scale with even worse detail but cost $2500 if you can find one:D
Bring on the Biante with the level of detail we've come to expect from Trev, Bev & co at a reasonable price:cool:

A plastic model was made in the same mould/moulded off the Wintoy in the 1980's

Thanks for that Ken & Gateway, personally I've never heard of Wintoys. I don't think that Dave (or I!) could afford 2 grand any way. Maybe for a real car, but not a model.:D
Ken, I see you didn't have much trouble figuring out who it was with the EH.:D

I heard that biante are working on the FJ at the moment, but it is a difficult shape to make, however, this model will be out and eventually all the gaps will be filled.

Steve,
It was easy. Dave & I have had similar conversations. Besides, who else has children as car mad as ours (for particular makes).;)

True.:D . Jonnie is Ford (Ambrose), Jamie is Holden (Skaife), Stephie hasn't decided yet!

The EH 179s and HR 186s would have to be the standout popular sixties Holdens, along with the HK/HT Monaro range.
The EH Special S4 was the first Aussie homologation special and the only way of getting a 179 red motor coupled to a 3-speed manual gearbox in 1963. Norm Beechey and Brian Muir come to mind as the principal EH touring car race drivers of the time. Dick Johnson was also known to pedal an EH in later years.
The HR was less of a race machine, but still popular as a road car especially when optioned with the X2 / 186S engine options.
