Please put BUY SELL & SWAP back on the site. It was great and I bought and sold lots of cars without any problems.

Ditto !!! I used the facility for both with out any hassles.

I feel that this service was very useful for those not wishing to participate in an auction type environment.
Personally I found it most useful and usually had a look when I logged in to the Collectors Club.:(
I found it very dissapointing when Biante made the decision to close BSS

you still have the wanted list as well as the car yard
so you can still buy and sell it's under the browse menu

True, but you have to log into yet another system.

maybe but if i remember correctly with the old buy & sell there was a few con artist's including someone being stung for $580? for a moffat phase 3

There are ripoff merchants in all walks of life. If it looks to good to be true, then it usually is but as I indicated previously, I never had a problem.

I've been off the net for a month or so now, and now that I am back, I find the Buy/Swap/Sell has gone.

I've gotta say I am very disappointed to have seen it disappear. And from what I have seen on the Auction site, the Car Yard and Wanted aren't anything compared to the BSS.

There are few adds in the Car Yard, and the Wanted has 44 out of 72 entries more than three months old, with the oldest entries going back to October last year. In fact there are 28 entries from last year.

Isn't there any kind of cut off expiration to drop all these old Wanted's? Or am I missing something?

I've used BSS extensively since I found out about it, and most of my collection of 70 odd cars is thanks to this great section. My collecting started in April last year.

I feel sorry for the dudes that follow behind me, because it is going to be so much harder for them to build their collection of cars that were produced so long ago.

Luckily for me, I am chasing only one of these old cars now, 65E.

Of what I have seen of the Car Yard, I can't see one of these appearing there for some time yet.

Buy/Swap/Sell RIP 1998? to 2004 May you rest in peace. You will be sadly missed by myself and I'm sure a great many others. You have given me so much joy in the short time I have known you. You will certainly be a hard act to follow. Peace be with you. I will never forget you. Rod and family.
