Well another weekend and another NASCAR race and this weekend is the Sonoma road course at Sears Point.
A lot of the 'Oval' boys tend to struggle on this weekend and usually it is the Robby and Jeff Gordon show.(No relation - Thank god says Jeff) They always tend to be up there at the front. For some of the guys it is a 'point saving' weekend so it will be exciting to see what happens.
Looking forward to it!

Bring it on! I look forward to this race every year. Wonder if it will be the usual suspects again or if we'll see a surprise packet jump up.

I know a lot more of the drivers put more time and effort into practise for this event and the Watkins Glen race too.You can't afford to have a bad race because you can lose out on so many points. It would be nice to see a dark horse up there.Like you said wayno, Bring it on!

Well Jeff Gordon is on pole with a lap he says wasn't very pretty. This lap broke Boris Saids' lap record from last year so the new tyre and resurfaced track must be to everyones liking. Kenseth had a good run for fifth, but junior (20th) and Johnson (34th) had shockers. Kahne is way down the order in 30th with last start winner Newman in 22nd and Stewart in 17th.
Pissed off no live feed on Fox, so I'll have to watch it on video after work.

What the hell's wrong with Tony Stewart lately, guys?
Apparently he's been in another tiff post race, this time with Bryan Vikers for no apparent reason....
Gordon drove a dominating race. It shows the toughness of the Nascar drivers, being able to race 219 miles (350km) on a road course, non-stop, in a car that is definately not suited to it.
Imagine the V8 guys here whinging about that.... 250km in Adelaide is enough for them! (not taking anything away from them, of course).
