For the WA guys -

We had a lady drop some pamphlets in at work today promoting the WA Model Collectors Club Toy & Collectors Fair this weekend.

It's set down for this Sunday (15th August) at the Cannington Exhibition Centre (cnr Albany Highway & Station Street) from 9.30am to 2.00pm.

Not sure how much die-cast it involves but might be worth a look. Anyone else aware of it/ thinking of going?

I live in Mt Claremont and have to be at the airport at 1pm so I reckon I'll swing past for a look..... hoping to find some die-cast!!!
Thanks GSXR-1.

Crikey, thats not what I wanted to hear!!! I'm a sucker for a bargain, as are most Dudes on this forum for that matter!
So I'm imploring everyone else get there and clear the stalls before I do!!!!!

Thanks for that Fordmoco.

Sounds like it might be worth a look, especially as I missed the big one back in May. :) Thought I'd post details as I hadn't seen any mention of this one previously.

Just back, and some unbelievable bargains !!:D
Losts of choice, for a smal town like Perth.
Spend my $$ on the first table , never mind the rest.
I scored a model that I have been chasing for a decade, and it is not the POZ cola, so I am well happy.

Agreed

This was the first of these sorts of things that I've been to (missed the one in May due to bike racing commitments up at Wanneroo) and it certainly opened my eyes.

Just missed you as well Bert, you were driving out as I was driving in...

Picked up a few bargains myself. Got the 03 Bathurst winning Kmart VY, the Stormriders VY SS Ute and the 02 Brock Targa Monaro, all in 1:43 for $80 all up. Unfortunately the only cash I had on me was from my rent money....:(

GSXR1,

Thats a bargain. $80.00 is under the wholesale price for the three cars.

I know - They're probably not the sort of models I would normally buy at retail, but when all three were available for that price I couldn't say no... :)

I wasn't originally going to take much cash with me, but grabbed the rent money, just in case...;)

Sorry I missed you, and yes I am not easily missed in the yellow rocket:D
I try to use it as much as possible, and have been spotted just about everywhere.
I did get the polistil ferrari 500 F2 the Maserati 250F and the Mercedes RW196 1/16 mint in box!
I didnot have the Mercedes, and wanted it.
I already have the other ones, but now I do have the 2 variaties that were made.
These are models out of the very grey past, and always very hard to obtain, if availabler they do go for BIG money, The ferrari just sold for over $400 USA 2 days ago wsith 20 odd bidders, Never mind the Maserati.
Was very happy indeed.
