The Commdore is a current derivative of the Opel Omega but the Commodore has been different since the VN (& even VL).

Commodore's are sold as Chevrolet Lumina's (S & SS's mostly) in South Africa and Middle East, and as Chevrolet Omega's (Calais) in Brazil. Actually, South Africa have both the Commodore (Chev. Lumina) and Opel Omega!
