Anyone interested in a two post hoist in 1:18 scale could give this guy a try. Mark at Pitstop models, Melton Victoria. 03 9743 1100. After talking to him today I believe that it has moving arms etc. and is possible to have a car lifted off the floor, sounds pretty good. sorry no pictures though. His shops website is www.pitstopmodelcars.com.au

I have see one of these just today, at model mainia in the city (melbourne). I looks great, even had the oil patch on the floor. I think the price was $100 and something for it.

bayden,
This is the one I saw in a model shop, made by GMP.

You guys are bad! I just purchased the GMP hoist and both sets of tools they offer and also American Muscle offers a set as well that I got. Look on ebay as they are cheaper than RRP!

I'm in the process of manufacturing my own 1:18 scale 2 post hoist. It's 3/4 completed has threaded rod in the posts so the arms can be raised and lowered snd easily carries a model car. I will post a photo when it is completed.

I have neither the skill nor the time to do that but I would love to see the pics when you are done. :)

Unfortunately I don't have much time either, it's taken me quite a while to get to this stage but another couple of hours should see it completed. I'll just have to figure out how to post a picture.

Well I have been away for a few days and now I am back all the 1:18 equipment arrived. I have basically taken it out of the packages and put it amongst my diecast models but here are a few shots for those interested.
Quality and detail vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.
When I get time I will try to build a complete garage and put all this stuff in it.

Thanks Andrew.
My wife (who is a fully fledged Biante supporter) refers to them as the 'Barbie Accessories for the diecast collector"
hehehehe

That's a brilliant looking hoist, unfortunately mine won't be that good.
Cheers!

Looks trific Zorak. Perhaps Biante should look at adding some accesories to their inventory? Show us a few pics of your diorama efforts when you're done.;)

Hey ZORAK, could you let me know how high the hoist sits with a car on it

Martin, sorry couldn't fina a metric stick! 8" from bottom of the base to the top cross bar. So you know, the hoist goes up and down but it has a solid cross bar at the top.

Thanks ZORAK, just measured the table and the hoist is too big for it so it looks like the table is for the cars. I might be able to make a garage scene like yours in the display case but, have to see how things pan out. Bummer it won't fit in the table but.

A sunken workshop with a hoist right in the middle of the table away from knees?

Cool good idea might look into that but first gotta get permission from the boss to use the table( gunna be hard work but)
