The 1:64 A9X Torana model comes in special Sidchrome box, but the model has no tampo printing on it. Therefore, the red A9X Torana model could possibly be re-released packaged in a Biante Minicars box, simular to the Vodafone ‘labelled’ employees model which was later re-released for the collector market, minus the Vodafone label.

Happy Collecting,
Garry

Sorry Garry, but this model cannot be released as a standard Biante item as the colour is not a standard Torana colour. It is Sidchromes own red (PMS187 from memory) and has the Sidchrome logo printed onto the rear numberplate panel.

Oh bugger, I didn't want to hear that Richard.

I only hope I'm not too late to get a last minute order in for Chrissy, a Sidchrome Tool Set maybe? ;)

Regards, Garry

where would i get the $69 socket set from? i was looking for one for work anyway, and this justifies getting one. i asked all the tool places in rockingham and they know nothing of the competition, and i dont really want to drive to bayswater if i can help it.
p.s. i have seen the proto of the torana in 'sidchrome red' and it looks stunning.

(p.s. gotta wait for pic to be approved if admin is ok with me posting it)

Can anyone tell me if they received this model? I spent $150+ and sent in two entry froms, expecting to receive two models, but so far, I have nothing! I sent in the first form just before Christmas and the second form in early January. Oh well, Dad got a nice tool set for Christmas and I needed a new one anyway. But now my Minicar collection is incomplete.

John

I ordered 4 x models and I am still waiting for their arrival.

I telephoned 'Stanley Tools' and was advised that they are over 3 weeks behind with their postouts.

How much to buy one of them, then? Once they arrive, that is.

I ordered 3 of the models for other collectors, which included 'chupps'. The 4th one is for my collection.

I have not seen any of the 1:64 'Vodafone' or 'Betta Electrical' promotional models for sale here in Perth.

What makes it even more difficult with the 'Betta Electrical' models is the amount that were damaged, presumably while re-packaging in with the electric razor. The main damage that I saw was broken wing mirrors, and a couple of spoilers. Man, it took me a long time to source an undamaged #77.

I knew I should have taken the "P". :D LOL

You did not mention the 'Skaife" NZ livery model that came with the 'V8 Supercar' game. I still have 1 spare, mint and complete with CD and packaging.

Hi,

If it helps, I am the seller of one of those Ebay auctions. My friend who sent for two cars the week the promo started (before christmas!) recieved one on December 23rd, and the second one not two weeks ago. Both entries were sent the same day.

I have it on good information that they are taking forever to send out, but they are coming!

Peter.

ps. that second seller is very imaginative when it comes to his description. Nice Words!

Gawd - that's more than the tool set.

Forget it - I don't want one that bad!

Guys, This promo is now running in NZ.

I Spoke nicely to the people in the sidchrome tent at the V8,S in pukekohe yesterday and they let me take one there and then.
The sidchrome rep also said they had the cars at the local branch and they would be mailed out with out delay.
