G'day everyone,
When i was picking up my Serra from my Ford dearler he told me that as they are a Ford dearler Biante will not sell them any Holdens. He also said that the same applies with regards to a Holden dearler not being allowed to buy Fords. This may be a concern (if he is correct) that i may have troble competing my Dick Johnson collection as i see his Zupps XU1 is part of this collection (Brock collectors may have the same problem getting his Sierra if they buy from a Holden dearler!!)

If this is correct, isn't this an act of restriction of trade and thus, a breach of the trade practices act?

I hope that i am proved wrong as i fear that many collectors may be in a simular situation - go on admin i dare you!!

There is a Ford dealership (Byrne Ford) in Brisbane that sells all types of models and memorabilia [URL=http://www.shopmotorsport.com.au]. I just joined the club myself. I haven't ordered anything yet but members get a discount and the prices are very good, and as a member you can also pre-order models so hopefully I won't miss out on any.

That restriction, and rightly so, as I respect my Licensor's wishes and contract, applies to FALCONS and COMMODORES.
Not Sierras, or Torana's as neither is marketed by them.
