thought I would start a new thread for this as it is pretty interesting.

A little pricey for my liking though but it sure looks good.

Just wish Biante would make it.

This one wasn't stolen..... the guy who made this does all my decals for me. I saw pics of this car as it was being built, quite amazing work actually. For anyone that remembers Vanpyre's website, he is BROCK05, the guy who did the Brock Marlboro A9X, the John Deere Commodore, Russell Ingall Castrol GTX special paint scheme for Canberra 400 and many other great code 3s.

Nice looking model. However the price is a tad rich for me. Props to him for making it, however I wouldn't pay more than 500 to 600 for it.

There is a guy on the Biante Auctions part of the site that is selling Code 3 mad max cars for $650 if he supplies the base car or $520 if you upply the car.

I am thinking of geting one done through him but still have to work out money from the car.

Chups , I guess for me it wasn't just that comment that aggrivated me but a quite a few accross the forum within a short period of time , everybody is entitled to his or her opinion and I respect that but a lot of his posts were quite arrogant .

Maybe I'm just not as tollerant as I could be , or turning into a cranky old bugger with age .. :p

Cheers

when i first read the comment, i took it as a joke, but going through a number of other threads, reading more comments, it seems this person really is a w4nk3r. unfortionately there is the 2 min edit rule so i could not delete my last post.

whoa, what a price? i could have gotten one from vanpyre a couple of years ago at half the price. im still wishing biante will make these cars in the future from exsisting xb falcon molds and just add the spare missing parts needed to the mold. maybe one day, but please hurry im already starting to get grey hair from waiting LOL!!!:D

the car sure looks wicked and a great job done by the person who customised it but the price is quite overwhelming and I can't dissmiss the probability that a drop in value for this model would be inevatable when a 1/18 licienced version is released .

I think you would save a lot of money By being extremely patient because one would think somebody will release it sooner or later , let's hope it will be soon and by a reputable company that won't compramise quality and detail .

there's no doubt in my mind that a limited edition model with COA would be a sell-out , for sure !

the funny thing is ,the DDA 1/24 scale interceptor that is out now looks better than this car,and its not even near the cost ...

Not sure if I agree with you there, its a bit hard to tell from the pics, but I've had a look at the DDA version in the flesh (or, in the metal) and was really unimpressed with it, I was pretty keen to get one but have decided against it, partly because it would be a bit of an orphan in my collection which is mostly 1:18 and a few 1:43, but mostly because of the poor quality.

I do agree with you about the cost, $600+ is a bit of an ask without actually being able to see the model and check out the workmanship.

Guys, It took 1/2 an hour before the general public could view the pics.

I will upload quite a few more later in the day.
Just remember the 1/2 hour rule.
