Maybe I have! This all from memory, after a 12 1/2 hour day, after all. Wasn't the Hatch introduced during the LH, or was it part of the upgrade to LX? Over to the experts.:)

LOL I know what you mean about the 12 1/2 hr day ! But the Hatch was introduced with the upgrade to LX.

The first car that I owned was a LC GTR XU-1, so I vote for the LC...

OK, my mistake. Admin., please delete the non-existant LH Hatch?
How do you delete something that already doesn't exist?:D

I think it's a bit of a no-brainer as to what will win this. I voted the LX Hatch.

For me, it has to be the LJ Torrie incl XU1.
My Dad swapped his LC XU1 for an Alfa Romeo Gulia 1300:(

I know you chose a HB Auto:eek: ;)
I grew up riding around in mums red motor 202 LJ Torana that went like the clappers. That thing took us everywhere, even on our holidays, down to Orange & up to Coffs.
LJ for me for sure.
definitely LJ XU-1 for me

Hi Jase,
I like both cars.... I like individual cars rather than follow a single manufacturer... Something to do with in the "eye of the beholder"...
My LC XU-1 and XB GT Hardtop were both completely different, but both gave me immense pleasure.
At present I get my 'car' pleasure by driving my son's highly modified VL BT1 Turbo... Absolutely creams my 2 cars in power...

So your car can look as individual as everybody elses?:D :p
Most people I know who have hacked-up a perfectly good LH or LX by adding flares (I am of course assuming you forgot flares in your list), bobtail etc regret it within a few years.
Cheers

Actually, I didn't, though I was tempted. My FAVOURITE Torry would be the LJ XU-1, with the A9-X running a close second. I can't remember the last time I even saw a HB on the roads. Bit of a rarity now & I've NEVER seen a Brabham.:( Though Dave & I did find a HB VIVA in the Cooma wreckers once.

Looks like the UC's are orphans. Nobody likes them. I actually think that they're the "smoothest" looking of all the Torrys, with probably the most civilised interiors.

That big ugly tail light assembly is what has always put me off the UC model

Yeah, but I work on real roads, not bush tracks.:D
No, it's more that I'm stuck in my little delivery area & don't "get out" much. Not like the old days of all over Canberra at 300 km per day!

Beauty is in the eye etc. I quite like those tail-lights.
