(1:18)Has any one changed the suspension on race car to make it that little bit lower or given a race car a better looking camber?

Ive changed the ride height of a concept monaro that im modifying. Its a lot of work, and the entire model has to be pulled down just to do it.

Basically, i got a Castrol car, ripped the running gear and underbody out, and fitted the monaro shell over it.

The inner guards needed to be diegrinded so the wheels would still turn, and lowering the front stuffs up the toe in, but it looks great. Its probably only lowered around 2-3mm, but it makes a huge difference (especially over the original monaro height).

that sounds quite nice........

what about adding something like a moon roof on the top?

i put a sun roof in my latest model, i basically marked and drilled around the edge, then carefully filed the edges square. then i put in the roof lining and cut the same out of that. then i cut a bit of thin (1mm) perspex and put it in between the roof and roof lining. then i cut a piece of tinted perspex the same shape/size as the hole, slightly heated it and bent it to the curve of the roof, then put it all together.

hope that helps.

Do you have any pictures of how the sun roof looked on completion..........us mere mortals ( useless modifiers ) would be keen to see. Well I am.

i have some pics at home, i will try to remember to put them on disk and bring them up here (i dont have the net at home) it may start to give the model away, but if you guess, oh well.

they should be up by next week depending on when admin moderate them and if i remember them.

just letting you know that my project has been put on hold as i am waiting on a product called omnicrom by letraset. if anyone can find this product in chrome or bright silver and send some to me it would be greately appreciated. Jacksons drawing supplies were supposed to be getting some in a few weeks back but have not yet got it.

if people in the eastern states could please have a look in art/ drawing supply stores for me. it sells for about $3.95 a sheet and i need about 3 or 4 sheets.
