Has anyone actually seen one of the new ads yet? I watch a fair bit of TV and I havent seen this new ad once yet!
I thought TC said they were going to try and compete with the likes of AFL,NRL and Cricket?
I have seen countless ads for these but not a bloody thing for the V8's.
Might be a blessing in disguise that I havent seen one yet if it has Diesel singing You really got me going! (Does anyone under 25 know either him or the song???:D )
Diesel is a clothes brand isnt it :D :D .

Not a thing yet !! I've only seen the Craig Lownes Betta Elec and the Brad Jones BOC ads

I have a couple of his albums and have seen him once but that is one insipid version. Between him and Shannon Noll, some of my favourite tunes from some time back are copping a hammering.

are they going to sing that song before every race, i dont mind the idea, it will just add to the atmosphere and build up to the race i guess.

Take a look at the average age of ppl at a v8 race. OVER 25. Is part of AUSTRALIAN rock History even if its recent history. Do under 25's know anything else apart from doof doof

im 16 and i have heard that song plenty of times before, and alot of older music cos my parents listen to it.
im nto really a fan of doof doof, more hip hop and rap than anything.
i think the theme song is a good idea though msot people that go to v8 races would have heard that song in the apst i would think.

gee i must watch too much telly, as i ahve seen the ad quite a bit.
it mainly promotes the V8's in perth and to book your tickets for the event. so maybe they will come on when they are coming to your city.
i think they could do better, however it is a step in the right direction.
I must admit I don't watch a lot of tele and usually watch channel 2 but who cares if its not on. V8 Supercars is the fastest growing sport in Australia anyway. You'll probably find its on the days leading up to races being held to promote 10 more than anything.
I was at the V8 Supercar series launch in Feb at Homebush, where Johnny Deisel performed the song live & they also showed the ad to us all. It's quite good & very upbeat, but i dunno why its not on T.V, isnt that why they made it?

I don't think we'll be seeing it in Melbourne for a while, after all we don't have a round until September...
Round 2 at Pukekohe is getting a fair amount of advertising on NZ telly at the moment 3 weeks out from the event.
Its being billed as the Grand Finale or something like that in recognition of being the last race at Pukekohe.
