On the roof of the Sierra there is a small white circular device, can someboby tell me what its purpose was?

It is called a transponder.
This sends the pictures from the in car camera up to the helicopter and then to your TV set

It also served a purpose in telling Andy Rouse which way was up, needless to say this was useful in the Dipper in 1990!! Shame Jason Plto didn't have it installed last year...:D

A smoke detector would have been good for Alan Jones' pack leaer Falcon when it torched itself to death...bet Glen Seton had a wry smile..."caution, smoking can damage your car!!"

Admin have you ever thought of putting the in car cameras in the models (even the older falcons and commodores) this would have been a good feature in the Hardies Heroes johnson falcon and so on. :)
