thank you mark, but my enquiry is for a single mirror from the said 900 "first run" advance models of the ultra white that included 134 twin mirrors...with certificates signed by tr young.

ever seen one of these?

r/peter

there were 4500 single mirror ultra whites in the limited edition version as well...like the one you refer to

Hi Terrine,

I have one of the models you are enquiring about which is number 760 / 900. It is ultra white and looks just like the one of 4500 only it has 5 slotter wheels like the track red (I don't know if they all did? Maybe Trevor could answer this?). It also has the C.O.A signed by Trevor Young.

I have heard that some of the 4500 had gloss Black bonnet stripes (which mine does also 2062 / 4500) so I don't know if this applies to the 900 as well?

So the only differences I can find are the wheels and the C.O.A

I would like to know if anyone else has has a ultra white XY with the 5 slotter wheels instead of Globes? and if so is it one of the 4500 or of the 900?

Hope this helps

Cheers, Jason :D

thankyou donny for your reply

firstly i am glad to know the single mirror "of 900" do exist, and as far as i can see they appear more rare than the twins as the twin mirrors appear to be readily available in the marketplace....i have sourced three so far, i have not yet purchased any.

interesting comment on the 5 slotters on your "of 900"...i have a couple of the "of 4500" and they both have globes and gloss bonnett stripes.

since your post i have had a closer look at my models and i find that the ultra white "of 4500" and my 2 red xys are the only ones in the xy series that appear to have gloss bonnet stripes

question 1. does your "of 900" have mat black stripes and if so do all of the "of 900"

question 2. are the 5 slotters on your single mirror "of 900" chrome with a centre spot like the red xy or mat silver like the 65E?...

(nb the twin ultra whites i have seen have globes)

i would be interested in your reponse and any other contributions including admin

I have #416 / 900 first release single mirror XY with gloss stripes and globes. I purchased it from a guy in NZ and have never seen another for sale. I have asked the same question here before but it went unanswered.

I put is next to my #2962 / 4500 White XY (with gloss stripes and globes) and I can't tell them apart!

Hi Terrine and Zorak

Of my two Ultra White GTHO's

The "one of 900" has wheels exactly like the Candy Red XW GTHO (painted silver in the 5 slotter rim part with chrome outer and chrome centre caps) . It also has flat black Bonnet stripes.

The Track Red XY wheels are all chrome, on mine they are anyway? And My Track Red has Gloss Bonnet stripes. Is there any with Flat Black?

I was dissapointed when I first purchased the "one of 900" recently from a guy in NZ because I thought they all had the Globe wheels so I didn't even ask him about them! But now it seems it may make it a bit rarer then some others???

The "one of 4500" has the 15" Globe wheels and Gloss Bonnet stripes which to me looks the best as I think the Globe wheels just transform them into an awesome looking machine.

I'm very interested to hear other people's stories on these cars ?

Cheers, Jason :D

hello zorak and donny and any one else following this thread.....

it would seem we really have been unable to conclude a great deal about the "of 900" ultra white single mirror xy gtho.

which leads me to my next dilemma, which may have been discussed previously, but hoping somebody can set me straight.

tonite on the auctions i noticed an added caption to the sale of an ultra white "of 4500"...

"Apologies for this.. But I have just noticed that this is a Track White... not a Ultra White as the title and description says. I never knew there was two different type of Biante White. Apologies once again. Jaza "........the link is attached

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1767578934

i checked the course of sales on the auctions on this model and found it described as both ultra and track, as well as just white.

then i checked my 2 models and found they were both described as track white on the COA.

confused i referred to online help...both this biante website and a collectors private website stated the release in sept 98 as ultra white

i then checked my biante brochure for this model which surprisingly also stated the impending release of 4500 ultra white units.

WHAT THE?

any assistance with this matter would be appreciated...
.....were the "of 4500" all track whites on their COA?

any other info on the "of 900" single mirror ultra white xy gtho not previously discussed also welcome

Any answers on the Ultra White / Track White Admin? was it just a typo on the C.O.A's?

Also the difference between the wheels, some with 5 slotters and some with Globes?

And lastly the Gloss and Flat black Bonnet stripes?

Any info would be great, Thanks.

Cheers, Jason

The certificates were printed at the factory in China and they did not change the Track pre-fix from the first certificate for Track Red, hence the Track White. To a Chinese person who has never seen a Falcon (or Holden) they do an excellent job.

The official colour is Ultra White.

thank you bev for that respose.
any help with any of the other questions raised on this thread?

......were any of the white xys 4500 and 900 fitted standard with 5 slotters?

......do all the red and white xys have gloss stripes on the bonnet?

......why do all other xys have matt black stripes?

thank you in advance

You think they are making them over there?

Mine is 416/900 and the car is identical to the Ultra White. If there is a difference I can't spot it!

COA is the only way you can tell them apart.

Chalk up another single mirror with globes and matte black stripes. Sheesh, I wish there was more information on these devils. Market values appear more readily available for the much rarer twin mirror!

You know, I'm wondering if previous owners (not saying anything about anyone on this forum) swapped CoAs on Track/Ultra Whites, giving the x/900 CoA to the one that was most perfect. A subsequent owner would have no knowledge of that.

I'd be interested in knowing if Donny05 picked his up brand-new.

Hi Zeitgeist,

No I bought mine on the second hand market from a guy in NZ, but I haven't heard of many with the 5 slotters instead of the Globes. Mine also has gloss black bonnet stripes. I would of thought that only the 900 run could end up with different bits 'n' pieces being made up from the left over parts of Track red's and 65E's and the 4500 would be a normal production run? Unless someone has swapped coa's like you said?

Cheers, Jason :D

sounds feasable and a MIB X/900 is more valuable
...having said that, then, its possible that car-o-holic has a X/900 without the correct COA

tell us more about your model car-o-holic
did you buy it new?

I have a Track white I got off ebay cheep $112.00 with no certificate and no box , dont know what it is but I noticed the front spoiler doesn't have a join in it the same as the Track Red and Moffat 65 E cars, the latter GTHO ones do have, what does every body else have out of say the 134 the 900 and the 4500 the car has Globes and a flat black bonnet.
Would like to know which it might be and weather the front spoiler makes any difference .

MAY BE OVER THE TOP but perhaps someone should keep a registrar. keep an eye out ebay and other sites and the list towards 900 will grow over time or even start up a website dedicated to this model.

Being 2nd hand it is quite possible that the wheels have been swapped from another model.
I have done this myself.
I ended up with a set of globes from a wreck and put them on one of my Goss XY's, everyone who saw it wanted the thing as it looked so mean.

Another possibility is a chassis swap.

Over the last 4 years I have seen around 14 White twin mirrors and only 1 White single mirror with #900 certificates.

Here's a Single mirror Ultra white on Trade Me NZ. 420/900 next bid $489 sounds cheap to me considering you don't see many of them.

It is quite odd, considering there are more of the single mirrors.

I think the first-run single mirrors have one big obstacle. While someone may possess a white XY with a x/900 CoA, I don't think has ever been determined that one can absolutely prove that a specific single mirror example is one of the original 900.

There's lots of talk about globes -vs- slotters and gloss -vs- matte stripes, but are either of those definitive? Perhaps there are some casting differences, but I don't recall the issue being laid to rest.

I agree BC. I have both White XY's on display and have examined them closely and I see two cars the same. The certificate is the only way that you can tell these cars apart as far as I can tell and maybe the barcode on the box, I haven't gone to the trouble of digging them out.
