I'm looking for the Biante's Ford Sierra Cosworth (Dick Johnson Collection). Can anyone help me find an online source that has one available for purchase.
Thanks!

There is no way in hell you can purchase DJR's Sierra through normal retail channels. The model has been sold out (actually it was mostly hoarded by diecast scalpers) everywhere within days (sometimes hours). Your only bet for DJR's Sierra is auction sites like ebay and www.sold.com.au Be aware though, that the model has already skyrocketted in value to more than twice its original price. The only online retail source that carries Biante models in North America is www.scale18.com
Alternatively, in the near and distant future several more DTM's and ATTC's Sierras will make an appearance. As you know, no diecast maker uses the mold only once.

The pricehike of this model has actualy puzeled me . 5000 made!
The Bathurstwinner of Tander/Bargwanna onlyhalf the amount and is available for normal price
Then the green one ,5100 odd made and gone through the roof
then the blue one ,8274 odd made and readily available for $200 odd
Asia Online 1800 odd made and same retailprice
then the P. Brock torana,s still available for the simmilar release price
It is sad for all the collectors that have missed out and now have only the scalpers to go to.

I don't know if this is the right place to be letting people know but I have one for sale. You did ask.
It is craze you can't pick what models are going to go up and what ones aren't. I thought TRU BLU would be really popular as that was the car that made Dick famous. What did he achive in the green car? I was talking with a retailer the other day and he has the same problem when ordering as he doesn't want his regulars to miss out but also doesn't want to get stuck with a heap of models if they don't sell.

Ferrari,
Looking around the usual web sites it seems the prices for the Sierras have plateau out somewhat. Maybe the initial fear of missing out on one, and rush buying has finished. It seems on Ebay the going price is around $250 +. Sure they are still a little to rich for most but I remember seeing one person on Sold asking $500 for one.
Yes the XE is fetching $450 plus and with the release of 2 green XE falcons; I would have thought the prices would have stayed fairly stable. All I know is a few fair dinkum collectors missed out on a Sierra and paid big dollars. One thing it has taught me is who I will buy cars of in future.
Wynncau, The XD in question is the Bathurst winning car and is not the famous “Rock car. That car is a piece of Australian motor racing history and I think will be quite popular, I think Biante will make more because it will be a big seller.

Kyle....
When you find one (get two) as I'm still hunting one down for less than a kings ransom........
I agree that the prices seem to have plateaued on SOLD.COM.AU and hopefully will come down......pleeeaaassseee!
I've just bought 3 models 2 VT's and S.Johnson's XR8. I cannot get over the weight difference for starters....WOW!

Thanks for the info. Wow, this car sold out quickly for 5000 pieces. Even scale18.com sold out of their small stock. I guess I'll have to play the waiting game and hope the prices drop like the stock market.
How much do the Biante's Winfield Skylines GTRs go for now days?

I think ,I have seen them for nearly $400! while for a long time they were obsolete stock in many shops
This particular one comes up a treat with the correct decals on it.

I collected 3 Winfield Skylines as I am a MASSIVE GT-R fan. Unfortunately, I am not intersted in selling any of them. They cost me a fortune to get (I DIDN'T buy up big to make a profit later on), but collected them over a period of time. I even paid above market prices (at the time) for one. They have proven to be one of the real sleepers of the collection I believe. At the beginning, not many people wanted one as they weren't Ford or Holden, and the mould was a decade-old Kyosho one. But with a relatively small production run, and the realisation that it is needed to make a complete collection of Bathurst winners has made it desirable. I have a Winfield decal package that I have yet to apply, but having seen photos of the models with the tobacco advertising on them - they look great.
If you're after one, good luck in finding one for realistic money.
PS. Please don't send me abusive emails about 'hoarding'. I got them for the love of the car, never for sale.

Try www.shopmotorsport.com.au, they had a stall at the Queensland 500 on the weekend and i'm pretty sure they had a sierra there, not 100% positive if it was them though as there was a few stalls selling models there, still, it's worth a shot. For anyone that's interested in the HSV GTO's they have both the red and silver for $109, bargain! Also, for anyone after the Biante minicars they had both the HRT cars and the HYL car for $10 each.
