I know that we have spoken about the new VY Commodore before. But..............

I have seen the real thing and it looks a lot better in the flesh than the pictures. Still a little unsure ............time will tell.

I think Holden got a little rattled by Ford's new efforts.

Whilst the BA looks like a more integrated shape than the AU,
I reckon Holden went the other way.

I can't help thinking "MAGNA" when I take in the VY's new rear end. What we have now is the familiar smooth rounded body with angular, chunky and somewhat aggressive front and rear end grafts - sorry, the Commodore has lost it's continuity of design.

Will be interesting to follow the sales figures into 2003.

I know what you are saying fordfan. From the side it is another Commodore. It is the back that has me worried.

I think Holden is getting it wrong. But hey.....thats why i bought a shiny new Magna. And no, its not your standard model.

Mitsubishi produce a better Magna than Holden......

Roll on the 4WD version.........

I like the EDGE design look on the VY and on the Magna, you have 2 choices in Design Curved or Edged,it was curved off for long enough so now it has got a sharper look.

I still cant see how to compare a SS Commodore to a Magna Sports.

Sure you cant compare an SS with a Magna Sports. Thats not a level playing field as far as performance is concerned.

How about comparing a VR-X or the Magna Ralliart with the Holden equivalent, say an S pack or a XU-6

Holden had an SS and an SV8 at the QLD 500 and after having seen them in the flesh they do look a lot better than in the pic's I have seen. Definately a better edge design than the AU ever was. They also had a BA XR6 at the track and it's far too conservative looking. It will be interesting to see how the sales compare.
