Just wondering what the Bathurst Logo will be above the cars race number this year?
I am assuming that if Brocks car is to be released at Bathurst that it will have the correct Bathurst logo and not the V8Supercar logo?
Unfortunately it probably won't have the Bathurst 1000
logo as it wasn't available at the time of doing the design,
but that's not to say the guys at Biante won't perform a
marvel and have it on the model.
That's one for Admin to answer.
As for what it will look like, I am presuming it will be as per
the logo in the print and TV adverts????

i was in the newsagents today and they had the bathurst edition of V8X and it had the Bob Jane 1000 logo on it. It was the same logo that is currently being used on the TV adds for Bob Jane T-Marts.
hopes this helps,
cheers.

Thanks Rob and brchi17 - let's hope the boys at BIANTE do perform a miracle and get the logo on the car - otherwise it's not much good having a Bathurst car without the right logo??? I would rather wait until after Bathurst to get the car livery correct as 'raced'...

You might need to try and post another attachment.
First one hasn't worked.

No miricales sorry guys.
Very hard to make a car which takes 5 weeks plus 12 days shipping to have logos on that were announced after the models left the factory!! I dont think the logo has been OFFICIALLY announce yet anyway. It may be different from the magazine ads.
Team Brock already has some cars in stock apparently.
Sometimes we cannot do these things and this is one.
If you wait for one to have the Bob Jane logo on, you wont be getting one, as this is the ONLY 05 Autoart livery being made.

Hopefully someone will make the bathurst logo sticker kits for the Brock cars and they can be placed on later.:(

No probs admin... bummer though...the car will look great anyway!
Maybe Brock will make it 10 so then we will get it with the right livery.
Is this the Logo you are all talking about??

I've just spoken to Team Brock (Ph: 1300 132 289 or 9495 0705) here in Melbourne.
The only models they have in stock are the 1:64 Minicars. They have not received anything else.

If Brock's Bathurst car does not feature the correct race sponsor door logos then I would hope that no other logo - such as the "V8 Supercars" series logo - appears in it's place.
Which brings me to another logo question.
Can anyone advise why previous "Shell Series" HRT and HYL model cars did not feature the series logos ; was it perhaps a Mobil protest to Biante ?

The #05 Brock VX will be as presented to the press with a white V8Supercar logo.
For lack of Shell stickers...ask the teams, not me.
AAAND...why on earth would Mobil protest Biante??? Gee you guys get some wierd ideas.

My point was that all the race cars in 2000 ran the SHELL SERIES door logos, but the Bainte ( I should say AUTOart ) HRT and HYL models did not feature the SHELL SERIES logos.
The teams build the real cars and AUTOart build the models; the race teams are not the people who decide on the detail of the representative model product, are they ??
Which brings me back round to : Why weren't the Shell logos on the HRT/HYL model cars ??

Same reason they are not on CC cars either..ask the teams.

I think you will find that the teams do have the final say as to what detail is on ( or not on ) the models.

Okay Admin, you win.
I accept that Mobil didn't protest Biante/AUTOart.
For whatever reasons, perhaps it would seem that HRT didn't want any Shell logos on the representative model cars. Maybe HRT figured that Shell logos would clash with those of Mobil ??
Despite your suggestion, I don't think I'll bother contacting HRT on this issue. The most likely answer is an obvious one.

Graeme..I dont want to win or lose. I am just answering your question as politically correctly as I can.
You will probably find if you walk into the teams garages right now, NONE of them will have the series logo's on the cars.
Just the way it is.
On past experience the Bathurst 1000 decal
is only issued to teams on the Wednesday
morning of race week.
With the Brock car, I could have put the logo that
is currently being advertised, but until the teams
have them, the look is purely speculation.
If we were to go with the advertised logo and then
found it to be wrong, what would you say then???
I think it was a wise decision by Biante to go with
the standard V8 Supercar logo, as on the press car,
then try and predict what it might look like and end
up getting it totally wrong.

Thanks for the insite Rob, now that we all know that the decal does not get handed out to the teams until Wednesday then we would not expect you guys at BIANTE to guess what it is going to look like.

Sorry Admin, I wasn't trying to suggest that teams or sponsors hold Biante to ransom.
Still, it's a pity that corporate interference plays such a role in motor sport to the extent that model makers are prevented from reproducing exact replicas....just can't get away from "politics" in anything these days. Obviously, the 2000 logo issue wasn't of concern to the Perkins or Garry Rogers outfits, both of whom feature rival oil companies as principal sponsors.
As to the current series logo, well that's another issue as there is no series sponsor; it's "V8 SUPERCARS" or it's an individual race sponsor, as at all long distance races.
Regarding the Brock black beast, this is probably a first for Biante in relation to race car models whereby the model may hit the shelves before the actual car hits the track; and, we collectors will see AUTOart's black #05 before we see it's forebearer, red #54.

I am just wondering why the model isn't made after the race. That way, us collectors will be able to buy a minature replica car, as raced at bathurst.

Production schedules required that the car be built to come out at the race.
By the time the race starts, the factory will be making VY Commodores, so I am rather pleased we got the model into the system or we would have missed out totally.
Besides...I think the 10 foot high sponsor name down the sides should indicate who is backing this last drive by Peter..I reckon above all else its fantastic he is back!!

I'm with you admin - glad that Brock is back and that I will get to see him race for my first time and his last time at the mountain.
The model looks fantastic and regardless of the logo I will add Brock's last drive to my collection. We have seen other models come out with missing logos (mainly cigarette advertising) and we are all glad just to see these models made :)
here here, I totally agree with admin and would love to see a fairy tale finish for Peter.
Now that would be a real bonus for AUTOart/Biante as well. The amount of publicity this would bring about couldn't be bought for love or money.
The livery looks great. We need more dark coloured liveries to offset the red/white of those on HRT to make our Holden collections look even better.
