Theres a place in Ivanhoe called Hobbyland. This guy gives me good deals on pre-order Biante 1:18 models. He charges me $135 for road cars and $155 for race cars!

Have a look on the site under "Links" Biante Stockists.
There are about 200 on there + all Holden and Ford Dealer.
Look around the WHOLE site if you are new here and you find most of the answers to your questions.

Nate, Go to the Motorsport Centre in Ringwood or for ford cars go to Coffey Ford in Dandenong. Thats where I get ALL my cars except the odd holden as they are not able to stock them and they look after you.

I mostly like the Ford road car range and the odd V8 supercar.
I would also like to ask, has Biante produced a Ford Falcon GT or GT-P in Vixen with the black side stripes?

For Melbournites (these are personal ratings, YMMV)...
Pitstop Model Cars (Melton) - great shop with a large range of diecast, extremely helpful staff. 10/10
Arabin Hobbies (Keilor) - caters for diecast and model builders, plenty of different subject matter for all. 9/10
All Cars in Scale (Niddrie) - helpful staff, great range, specializes in 1:43 scale models. 9/10
Model Cars of the World (Burwood) - great range, friendly staff. Prices tend to be a little high though. 8/10
Modelmania (City) - large range, helpful staff, can be expensive. 8/10
HTH :D

Would you care to elaborate?
If you don't want to mention the specific suburb, how about the nearest shopping centre...then the responses can be a little more targetted...:D

When you go through the checkout at gatewaymodels.com.au.
how do you select the payment method you want to use, because I want to pay them via direct deposit but it isnt in the list at the checkout.
they say that they accept direct deposit in the payment link.

Don't be afraid of travelling to use a good retailer. I used to do a four hour round trip to Pitstop because I knew I would always get the model I wanted from them.
It is well worth building a good relationship with a certain store.

Thats Right.
If you get along with the guy that hands out the model cars you can usually be the first to get limited releases like the Bob Jane Camaro or other cars. They will more than likely put you at the top of the list if you buy ALL of your cars from them.
The only problem is if someone else is with them that buys more than you, you get bumped down the order.
Cheers

I used to buy a few cars there as they were just down the road from me.Staff were friendly enough but the prices were (and probably still are) a little high.

The Race Place has very hiked up prices and really are a rip off.
Didn't they get in trouble keeping cars and selling them on ebay at over inflated prices???
