Don't discourage him by saying stuff like this. We were all new to collecting once upon a time and this website, so we SHOULD expect new members to ask many questions. The search button is a fantastic utility, but even I admit it's hard and/or time consuming to wander through posts to see if a topic has been uncovered. Where's the harm?

Hear, hear! I think we all posted like mad when we first discovered the forum. After a while you settle down and I agree that new users here should be encouraged.
New members have a LOT of things they want to find out. I think it's up to the guys that have been here a while to help them with any queries they have.

And where are they now, no where to be seen, interesting to note that in both cases, the simply use of the search facality would have helped them find some of their answers........
