your name isnt Dave by any chance is it?. settle down man! we all love our cars, Holden or Ford. i am a Ford man but i have owned plenty of Holdens and i respect the cars they make. however iv seen a lot of your comments in this and other threads and as much as you are intitled to your opinion there is no reason to call people clowns, they have there opinions too.

The Biante forum seems to be one place where you can have Holden fans and Ford fans discussing stuff without the usual "mine is best" aggro......

Im talking about the name 'XT' Ford uses for the BA Falcon. XT Computers were made 20 years ago and thats what the name sounds like. 'Forte' sounds 100 times better!

I like the name XT, reminds you of the XT GT Falcon, from the late 60's.

Late News :

To make amends for the impending demise of Monaro, Holden has announced it will be reintroducing the Kingswood as part of the new VE Commodore lineup for 2006.

Holden's "Rear Drive Engineering Division" has quietly completed development of an all-new three speed manual gearbox and is confident of having ironed out the old HQ-HZ series bugbear of jammed column linkages when negotiating the second-to-third gearchange.

Along with the reintroduction of a column gearshift, new Kingswood will also feature matching front and rear bench seats trimmed in hard-wearing vinyl and, in view of the demise of the drive-in theatre, Kingswood will also feature a dash-mounted DVD system complete with detachable speakers that can be mounted upon the door windows when cranked open. Oh, and yeah, power windows are going back to the options list.

So, all in all, Holden fans have plenty to cheer about in relation to the retro-iniatives now taking place down at Fishermens Bend.

Any news on a build in suspension squeecke from the springs department??
fridge magnets work a treat on the Kingie's dashboard
I wonder if the concrete testing block will survive the compulsary impact test with the tank from Fischy's bend

So, all in all, Holden fans have plenty to cheer about in relation to the retro-iniatives now taking place down at Fishermens Bend. :D

Graeme, do you know if the "new" kingswood will have big plugs on the hopefully plastic lined floor so people can hose out the interior to keep it clean rather than wasting time on expensive carpet cleaning?:D ;)

Holden went through all this lettering in the early days of Commodore

remember VB, VC, then we were wondering what would be next only for them to skip a few letters, now they can resurrect them a few decades later!!!

As far as I'm aware, Ford don't have a range starting in 'V', therefore we leave Ford out of the equation
