I hope you are right, cant wait for this one to put on the shelf. A far more important addition than meaningless releases like his "road going Monaro" for eg.

I wouldn't say they are meaningless, they all add value to an ever-growing collection

It looks like this car will be release well before Bathurst its allready 'In Production'. All these good cars coming out at the same time isnt good for my hip pocket. I wish Biante would spread out all the good releases!

We've just had the 24hr Monaro and the Poolrite Nations Cup Monaro has been In Production for some time now. I can't see Biante releasing so many Brock models so close together.
The NC Monaro is scheduled for release in August so it is possible that the 1975 Torana could be released in time to commemorate the 30 year anniversary.
Would be a nice touch.

Gee, hope it doesn't come out on the Bathurst raceweek, I'll have to drag a laptop up top of the mountain and find a phone line to hook up to :p

Better stop buying cigs, chocolate, beer, cooldrinks etc as I think that the release of this model is very soon indeed.
There is also the Porsche Le Mans car and a A. Moffat as well in the wings so better be ca$hed up;) just in case I am guessing correctly.
I have got to say that the Bathurst collection is coming along great and is looking very impressive indeed.
Then there is the Bimmer, the 1974 winner, the XR GT winner plus a raft of V series Commodore's as well!
Holy macharellony,............. Bring them on!!:D

Another credit card bashing :(
...and the Nations Cup Monaro is released next Wednesday. Us Brock Collectors are taking a bashing at the moment. Still, we shouldn't complain.:)

It's getting hard isn't it? The Bathurst beer budget looks like being quite a bit less than previous years! :(

You bewdy,
Another hole filled in the Brock/Bathurst winners collection:D
The factory must be flat stick with all the great cars comming out at the moment.
Must be making room for all of those VB-VK Commodores in the production line.

I hope you're right. After this one, there'll only be Brocky's '70 XU1, 74 L34 and 79 A9X Torana's to do. Then onto the Commodores.

I'm with you Wayno, looks like a beer ration coming up for Bathurst, just as long as they don't release anything else I'm after prior to Bathurst I should be OK..

Quite agree. I've just started designing a new cabinet to house all these things. It's goingto look bloody great, but I suspect that the with all the halogens, mirrors, glass it's going to look mnore like the Daily Planet than a model collection. And cost as much too!

I have to get the funding approval past the financial controller first! I've never had any luck posting pictures, is there an idiots guide how?
I want to develop my shed (with a bloody great lock and siren to keep the bad guys out) with all my Brock collection. I think that will be my 5 year plan. I think my stuff is far better than Peter Champions (although I don't own as many 1:1 cars)
...200 posts is drawing close

As for posting pics,I'm hopeless too as can be seen with my previous efforts:)

When we used to go to Bathurst camping was always such a thrill. High on the Mountain amongst the riff raff of humanity, thinking "will my rental car get torched, did I tick the extra insurance box".
More often that not it either snowed or was a bloody great frost...either way it was COLD. I took my girlfriend in 1997 and she really had a bad time, left me when we came back to NZ. I will miss going there. It's not going to be the same without PB....come on Pete one last time!

Let me just say firstly that Brock is and always will be a legend who i have admired for a long time even though i grew up being a die hard Dick Johnson fan. But as far as last years Bathurst race goes i think the best thing to happen was Plato's accident as it saved us all from watching Brock cruising around well of the pace of the front runners. We should all remember him as a true legend of the sport and not some back marker who did not know when enough was enough.;)

The only thing that cheezes me off about Brock is that he retired too early from the enduros. He should have raced at Bathurst every year until 2004!

You guys have probably guessed that I'm a we bit one-eyed about PB, however, eben I was a little glad that he called it quits. When he had the prang in the Cutting in 1994 I think that was the beginning of the end. I can't recall him bending a car prior to that (well there was Adelaide in '92) but after Bathurst he seemed to be having a number of offs. Followed up at Reid Park (?) the folowing year and on it went. I think he's done the right thing and, yes, I would have hated for him to look stupid and off the pace...like Larry was

95 Brock crashed in the cutting in qualifying, 94 he crashed up the top. You would have hated him to look stupid and off the pace? After 97 he certainly did not cover himself in glory in his last two visits to the mountain. 2002 you can say he was driving a car more suited to being a Melbourne taxi, but in 2004 he certainly wasn't setting the world on fire.
This model is going on Advanced Orders tomorrow 8 September.
See here (http://www.biante.com.au/merchandise.cfm?mode=vie w&MerchandiseID=14648)
Looks like I'll be either working late or coming back into work at 6-30pm NZ time.

Woohoo another one for the shrine, and no fag decals either..can't wait for the 84 VK, a million decals to stuff up...Bert you can order your 575 Maranello now!
Does anyone know how many of this model will be made? Hopefully, more than 3000. I'll be advance ordering tomorrow so I don't miss out.

It should be more than 3000. Whats the least amount made for a 'Peter Brock Collection' model? The most is 12000 for the 1972 winner... (too many)

How can 12000 be too many? When they were released they dissapeared and still command big dollars on the second hand market. I agree, 12000 is a lot but can you imagine what would have happened if Biante only made 6000!
Note: I wasn't working at Biante when this model was released.

If Biante made 6000, they would be worth as much as the Moffat 65e I reckon!
