Hello all,

As we all know Biante have released race cars of the Commdore VT, Ford XD, XE and others....

Hows about releasing some of the road versions of these as well? Im not talking about a HSV variants (for example), but something like a VT SS, or Falcon XE Fairmont Ghia ESP???

They already have the body shape. All they need is the interior.

I think we are being drowned in the race cars already. Whats everyone else think???

I'm mindful of not making too many demands of Biante (we all have our 'pet' choices) who are working flat out doing a fantastic job modelling 3 decade's worth of Australian motoring/racing history. I'm sure they are running close to capacity with the next 2+ years' products planned already. I'm sure we'll see the road car variants released at some stage - after all, the last XY came out years after the first one did. While I would also like to see more roadcars, I am just happy collecting what comes out. If I make too many demands, and they are all granted too soon, I won't be able to afford them all. So it's a catch 22. By all means let Biante know what you'd like (they need to know what the customer is intersted in buying - although I'm sure they have pretty good idea of that already), but basically, be patient, and it will happen in time. We've waited 10-20 years for quality models of our Australian favourites - I'm sure we can wait a little longer.

Very true Andrew,

This has been covered MANY times in the forums and I'm sure that Admin, although wanting to keep the customer happy, are tired of answering the same old question.

Loste-treasures,

If you want to let them know what you want, click on the "I wish" in the home page and fill out the page that comes up. I'm sure that plenty of people have made "wishes" for road cars, me included.

i take your point however i still think that its a bit of overkill with the various race cars that are being released.

i dont know if biante have done any market research to see which are the more desirable models: road or race??

i also think that between classic carlectables and biante, they are 'killing' the VT,VR/VS and AU body shell. trax on the other hand have 'murdered' all the early ford and holdens to the extent where loyal trax customers are leaving them in droves.

no one yet has managed to make a model (road car) from the eighties such has your Holden VB-VN or Ford XD-XF. i strongly beleive that this is a large untapped market waiting to be explored.

While we're making suggestions, I've never seen a deasent road car version of the EL Falcon. I know Biante are doing a great job of reproducing so many models, however i'm sure they appriecate us talking about our favorite unmade model.
I bet it saves them a fortune on market reasearch and might sway them as to what they will make next.
It would be great to see a bit more varitey in the road cars, as I know there are only so many race cars in a particular model that I want.
1:43 is a great scale for mass produced race car models as it keeps them afforabale.
I would love to see some (1:18 scale) road going versions of '80 & '90 models Falcons (forget about the AU & BA - I don't like them) as, i've moved on from race cars & are hopeing for some ESP & XR Falcons soon (they're will be just as many Holden people thinking the same about the various SL/E & SS Commodore's).
cheers.

firstly i would love to see mode road cars too, but as loste_treasures said no one yet has managed to make a model (road car) from the eighties such has your Holden VB-VN
the VL walkinshaw has been done, and i also have a model VK (ok its a plastic toy) but its one of my favs cos not many people make them

also trax made a VL SS, but lets not talk about that dissapointment.

i think an SS collection would be awsome in their 'key colours'
eg: VL SS - Permanent red, VS SS - Black or White, VT SS Bluey black and tiger mica, VX SS - Hyper yellow, VY SS - Hothouse green

i think all the commodore SS and maybe kingswood and torana SS too. but mainly the early SS commodore models (VB-VL)

Isn't it funny, that every time road cars are mentioned, we see many replies, but never anything from admin or Richard.
I know that the new model
Falcon & Commodore are high on their agenda, but how about producing something that isnt a GTHO or a Torrana. I'd love to see some varitey in the models.
cheers.

I'd love to see a 1975 TX Isuzu Gemini Coupe, Datsun 120Y, Holden Camira, KB Ford Laser Ghia, just to name a few!!! :D

On a serious note, does anyone agree that a Datsun 1600 would be a nice car to have in the collection, maybe in race/rally spec also, it'd be something different. Also, a 1990 Ford Laser TX3 4WD Turbo in white would be nice, I had one a few years ago that got pinched and stripped, to many good bits on it - MOMO interior, Simmons, Remus exhaust, would be nice to have a model of a car you own/ed.

As a Ford Fan and as we've seen so many Holden and HSV Road Cars, it would be only fair to produce some Fords eg:

XR8
TS50
TE50
Arrow Ford Coupe.

These may already be in production, and i may have just made a fool of myself but these are very nice looking cars and i'm sure they would have a lot of support behind the making of them.

I agree with you on the TE50 and TS50, but not with the Arrow Coupe. I think this car looks terrible!!! The AU just doesn't have the body to become a 2 door in my opinion. I prefer HSVs myself, but I'm not what you'd call a die hard fan of just Holden, I like cars, if they look good I like them, like in my previous post, I owned a Ford, and my current is another TX3 but semi-standard. I do like the T Series Falcons, and the new XR Falcon looks awesome in grey, see the one in the ad. Can't wait to add it to my collection when produced.

Definitely more road cars....

Love to see some cars from my younger days like HK Premier, Sandman Panelvan and lots more.

I think a Panelvan would be a great model to add to my collection....

I'm really hanging out for a model version of my car........AUII XR6 VCT in Galaxy Blue please:D

I know a couple of years ago Holden dealers offered !/43 scale models of your own car( Paradise Garage VS 1/43) because my friends dad has one.
Also are there any Sydnet Go-kart drivers on thie forum,if so look out for a youngster named Scott Thompson(I'm his mate).
Phil Ward runs Aussie racers aka Aussie legends but also Go-kart days in 3 classes C,B,A.
Scott strated in C in Feburary and clean sweeped them,in March steped up to B and clean sweeped them again.
His dad still won't let him step up to A in his Kart.

I think the T-Series cars have alreadly been produced in 1:43 scale. I was at Ford yesterday haveing a look at Barra and saw a Silver & a Black T-Series AU. It was in Ford packaging similuar to the AUI XR8 that i got a few years ago.
Hope this helps,
Cheers,

Yes this type of thread does repeatedly come up!
I think the series of SS's is a good idea. All models in there 'SS' trim and for the Ford's I spose XR8 trim or similar.

I'm still waiting on Police....
